Mortal Kombat X has certain been a hit with its fans who remember it back when the franchise was still in stand-up arcade games back in the early nineties.  Most of the DLC (downloadable content) packs, including the Kombatant Pack (a $30 value) has already been released, but there is rumors of another second Kombatant pack or Kombat Pack 2.  This is what we know about the rumors of the Kombatant Pack 2 possible release date and its DLC characters.

The fans of Mortal Kombat X are the ones who remember Mortal Kombat since its initial release over 20 years ago, and, according to Youth Health Mag, they have been wanting to see the return of Rain and Meat.  Rain is the half-god who can control the weather and call down rain and lightning.  As for Meat, he is and experiment gone wrong and looks like a human muscular system.

The VC Post reports that speculations of Rain's character becoming playable began when he was seen in the game's trailer in January.  Then Rain had a mod named after him in the Living Towers Challenge.  Fans seem to want them, and the requests have been so frequent that it calls for a Kombatant Pack 2.

Ed Boon, co-creator of the Mortal Kombat series, is currently teasing Mortal Kombat fans on social media with tweets like "I'm interpreting this as a sign: 'Meat' must be in Kombat Pack 2".   Boon then ended with #IfTherIsAKombatPack2".  The fact that Boon is putting a conditional "if" with this hashtag means that Boon could be testing the waters to see if fans would be willing to pay for a Kombat Pack 2.

In addition to Rain and Meat, some of the other characters that would be included with this Kombat Pack 2 would include Sindel and Baraka, according to Vine Report.  Sindel first made her debut in Mortal Kombat 3, and the gray-haired goth-like woman is Queen of Edenia, according to Mortal Kombat Wikia.    Baraka made his debut in Mortal Kombat II, and he is a mutant with fangs and blades.

The original Kombatant Pack 1 comes with player characters such as Jason Voorhees from the Friday the 13th movies, as well as Tanya, Tremor, and the Predator from his own movie series.

According to the Ecumenical News are a lot of Skin Packs available for players which include:

  • The Samurai Pack: Samurai Shinnok, Ronin Kenshi, and Jingu Kitana
  • The Ultimate Horror Pack: Vampiress Mileena, Kraken Reptile, and Pharaoh Ermac
  • The Klassic Pack #1: Klassic Sonya, Klassic Liu Kang, and Klassic Kano.
  • The Predator and Prey Pack: Infared Scorpion, Commando Johnny, and Carl Weathers as Dillon for Jax
  • The Klassic Pack #2: Klassic Jax, Klassic Kung Lao, and Klassic Quan Chi

Well, I suppose that if there is a Kombatant Pack 2, it will be available soon, and I predict a holiday release date, assuming that Ed Boon isn't just teasing fans.  We will see on that.
