Sony Xperia Z6 Release Date, Specs And Rumors: Latest Devices Comes in Five Variants Plus Lite Version

Sony is set to release Xperia Z6 this year. Trusted sources say the latest device might come in five different editions, which will satisfy every need of all Samsung subscribers. Moreover, Forbes said the tech company will launch Xperia Z6 Lite.

Sony Xperia Z5 family was launched nearly four months ago, but gadget lovers are now excited to see another set devices in the form of Xperia Z6. Sony is always following a six-month product cycle, so rumors about the device center about its upcoming launch at Mobile World Congress, which will occur in Feb. 22- 25 at Barcelona, Spain.

Here are the versions of the latest Xperia Z6 smartphones: "a 4-inch Xperia Z6 Mini, a 4.6-inch Xperia Z6 Compact, a 5.2-inch Xperia Z6, a 5.8-inch Xperia Z6 Plus, and a 6.4-inch Xperia Z6 Ultra. Now, we're hearing that an Xperia Z6 Lite may also be in the making," PhoneArena published.

The lite version of Xperia Z6 will have a  5-inch display  with a metal-made rear cover. It will also be powered with a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 chipset--- previously known as Snapdragon 618.

IB times reported that the Lite Z6 will be priced at $385, and it wll the market on May 2016. 

As for the overall look of Z6 series, online reports said that it will ditch the flat-backed, heavily fragmented edge of its predecessors. The device is set to have a more curvaceous metal design for better display.

Some critics said the design of Z5 series were "bland" and "boxy." The phone manufacturer hopes that the new look of Xperia will please gadget lovers and Sony followers.

It is believed that the different versions of the phone-- the standard base model, Xperia Z6 Mini, Xperia Z6 Plus, and Xperia Z6 Ultra, Z6 Lite -- will offer different specifications to cater the needs of the consumers. They can also choose various screen sizes of Z6 series.

Many buyers consider the camera features of the phone before acquiring a device. Now, the camera technology of Sony Xperia Z6 is set to beat other snappers available on the market. The latest gadget will boast the highest resolution at 23 MP.

The least among six phones is the Xperia Mini Z6. It will only have 4.0-inch screen, but it will be powered with Snapdragon 620 processor. The other phones of Xperia Z6 will house the latest Snapdragon 820 chipset for faster processing performance.
