The Seattle Seahawks is scheduled to play against the Washington Redskins in Week 5 Monday Night Football on Oct. 6, 2014. The 2014 Super Bowl Champs are visiting the Redskins at the FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland, with the usual MNF start time, 5:30 p.m. PT. Fans can watch the actions online via live stream below (free with subscription), and on ESPN Television network.

The Seahawks have won two of three games, and is expected to reach the playoffs. The Redskins have had a rough start, losing three of the four games, placing them at the last in NFC East division. Seattle is ranked 2nd in rush offense and in rush defense. With performance like this early in the season, the odds are that Redskins have little chance of winning tonight, which means Washington won't be able to turn their losing streak around just yet.

According to the teams' defense and offense comparisons, their stats show no significant difference, but Seattle's Marshawn Lynch and Russell Wilson are highly efficient in their running and passing plays, enabling the team to convert third downs and get the ball down the end zone.

On Offense, the Redskins will count on Kirk Cousins to lead the team again, after Robert Griffin III was injured in week 2. Cousins has played very well since getting an opportunity to start, going 30-71 for 934 yards so far in the season. The team is ranked 4th in yards and 5th in pass yards.

The defensive unit for Washington is ranked 26th in points per game, 9th in yards allowed, and 12th in pass yards, and 7th in rush yards.

On offense, the Seahawks is ranked 5th in total points (27.7) and 2nd in rush yards (148). Marshawn Lynch is going 52 carries with 234 yards and three touchdowns.

For the Redskins to win, head coach Jay Gruden must be able to devise strategic plays despite the overwhelming odds that his team is no match for Seahawks. Obviously, the burden continues to fall on QB Cousins, but his teammates must carry that burden together to have any chance of winning tonight.
