WWE WrestleMania 31 Predictions and Fastlane Results 2015

Feb 27, 2015 02:32 PM EST

The WWE Fastlane 2015 took place last Sunday with a total of seven matches being played to set the stage for WrestleMania 31 on its scheduled day of March 29, 2015. But with a few surprising wins already at Fastlane, we can now look ahead at the possibilities for WrestleMania 31.

First up, let's recap Sunday's Fastlane Pay-Per-View event. During the No. 1 Contender's Match, Roman Reigns pinned Daniel Bryan, leading to what some are saying is Reigns' best match as a singles wrestler. Reigns may not be a crowd favorite, but he's going on to headline WrestleMania 31 now.

In the U.S. Championship match, Rusev beat out John Cena with a low blow and a kick to the face after distracting the ref. John Cena was out to take the U.S. Title away from Rusev, but fell short when the ref called the match.

In the International Championship, Bad News Barrett took the title while Seth Rollins, Kane, and Big Show stole the show against Dolph Ziggler, Erick Rowan, and Ryback. In the Divas Championship Match, Nikki Bella retained her third straight PPV belt and Cesaro and Tyson Kidd won the Tag Team Championship.

On to WrestleMania 31, many are already getting their predictions in based on the story we've seen developing so far.

The Heavyweight Championship will be between Brock "The Beast" Lesnar and Roman Reigns, and many believe that Reigns will take that title from Lesnar this year. And the big match between Triple H and Sting is probably the most anticipated of the whole event, but Sting is the favorite here.

Bleacher Report adds that Triple H needs to get the upper hand on Sting at least once because "thus far, Sting has made Triple H look like a fool at every possible opportunity."

The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal is back again this year with participants expected to include The Miz, Curtis Axel, Damien Mizdow, Ryback, Erick Rowan, Luke Harper, Jack Swagger, Kane, Big Show, and anyone else ready to jump in. Some are saying that an Ultimate Warrior Memorial Battle would make more sense this year as the Warrior died last April, but we'll see how or if there are any official tributes. If Sheamus or Dolph Ziggler are in this big battle, either one of them is expected to win.

As far as other predicted matches, we could see The Miz vs. Damien Sandow, Goldust vs. Cody Rhodes (or as Stardust again), Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler, Seth Rollins vs. Randy Orton, and Nikka Bella vs. Brie Bella.

Watch for WrestleMania 31 to come to Pay-Per-View on March 29 from Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
