With the massive success of Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 5, bring its creator Rockstar Games over $1 billion in revenue, this has led to a lot of questions about what GTA can do next.  There are rumors of plans of more GTA 5 Online Heists Update for Ill-Gotten Gains Part 2, but the bigger question is when GTA 6 will have its release date.

According to the International Business Times, Rockstar Games has just announced via Rockstar Newswire that Part 2 of the highly-anticipated Ill-Gotten Gains DLC will be arriving in the first week of July with a lot of bonus treats.

These bonuses include several new game modes that were found in such previous DLCs such as the Last Team Standing, as stated in a separate article from the IB Times.  A GTA 5 tipster and YouTuber known as Funmw2 states that the new DLC also includes a Marksman Pistol and the Knuckle Duster, which some leaked files has suggested that Rockstar has added eight different customization options to modify these melee weapons based on an individual's taste and fighting skills on GTA online.

Other new bonuses in the DLC of Ill-Gotten Gains Part 2 will be Stunt Racing mode, which was not included in Part 1.  In addition to all of that, Funmw2 explained that some GTA 5 gamers have unearthed several images that relate to the upcoming Mansion DLC via the existing game files from the GTA 5 High-Life update.  Considering there are many rumors that Mansion DLC will be making its way into Ill-Gotten Gains, it is possible to see what could be a sneak peek.

By the way, players of GTA 5 have a chance for some free-to-win Welcome to Los Santos vinyl sets.  The vinyl sets have original music that debuted with GTA 5 on the PC, and you have to log into the Rockstar Social Club to win one of these vinyls ahead of the DLC's official release.

Considering all the hype there is surrounding GTA 5, is it too early to discuss a sequel?  Considering that the game has been out since September 2013, it might not be too early.

The Day Herald reports that GTA 6 is "in the pipeline".  A recent interview with Leslie Benzies, Rockstar Studio president, has declared that they have "45 years' worth of ideas they wish to incorporate".

Rumors of what would be in GTA 6 abound.  Some have suggested that it could take place in London, as opposed to the fictional Vice Cities in America. Some other fan demands would be a strong female protagonist, because the role of women has been criticized in the game.  That female protagonist seems to be a very big demand, so that probably will happen.  Fans are also demanding that the game should have a look of taking place within the 70's, as well as a new city and more missions to explore.  A recent one comes from Moviepilot, that Rockstar wants the protagonist of GTA 6 played by the one and only Ryan Gosling.  The setting would be Vice City, with the time being the 1980s.

For those that are into GTA 5, Ill-Gotten Gains Part 2 will be available soon, sometime in between now and September 23rd.  As for the release date of GTA 6, most sources are reporting a release date of some time in 2018.
