Google will reportedly launch its newest Nexus devices, the LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6 later this month. The search giant is also expected to bring its latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS along with these next generation handsets.

In an exclusive report, Android Authority claims the LG-made Nexus 5X smartphone will be unveiled on September 29 along with the larger Nexus 6 manufactured by Chinese tech giant Huawei. The models are the updated versions of 2013's Nexus 5, also made by LG, and 2014's Motorola Nexus 6.

The tech site adds that the new Nexus phones will go on sale on the said date via Google's official online store. Details about the larger model's pricing has not been shared but the Nexus 5X will supposedly be tagged with a $399 price for the 32GB variant and $449 for the 32GB version.

It was previously known that the LG Nexus 5X will pack a 5.2-inch QHD display with 1440x2560 pixel resolution. It will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 808 processor, which houses a hexa-core 1.8GHz CPU and Adreno 418 GPU, coupled with 3GB of RAM. On the photography front, it will feature a 13-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS).

Meanwhile, the Huawei Nexus 6 is said to sport a 5.7-inch display with 1440x2560 pixel resolution. The phablet will be powered by Snapdragon 810 chipset, also from Qualcomm. The component is made of an octa-core 2.0GHz CPU and Adreno 430 graphics processor paired with 3GB worth of RAM. The Huawei-made handset will offer 64GB of built-in storage and will pack a large 3,500mAh battery. Both the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6 are expected to arrive with Android 6.0 running out of the box.

Details about the larger Nexus' appearance are scant but the slightly smaller Nexus 5X has been featured in several leaks in the past weeks. The latest alleged photo of the device hints that it will have a slightly protruding rear camera with dual LED flash along with what looks like a laser autofocus module. A fingerprint scanner below the back camera is also evident. It will feature a matte plastic body as seen on the image as well as support for the new USB Type-C standard.

If proven to be accurate, the arrival of the LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6 will mark the official release of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow's consumer version. Last month, Google initially made the final Android M preview available to developers so they can test it out on the current Nexus 5, 6, and 9 devices prior to a full roll out.

Google's September 29 event will take place in San Francisco, California. Pre-orders for the two new Nexus models will reportedly be open on October 13, two weeks after the expected announcement.
