Speculations about Mortal Kombat X's upcoming Kombat Pack 2 downloadable content (DLC) began last when game creator Ed Boon sent out a series of tweets on which teased the return of the classic Mortal Kombat arena called "The Pit" along with a photo showing four additional DLC characters.

Shortly after Boon shared the said teaser Warner Bros confirmed that there is indeed additional DLC on the way for "Mortal Kombat X" in the form of new characters, at least one new stage, and new skins and. However, it looks like the DLC will not be released until early 2016. Mortal Kombat X is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Boon's post about the four new characters clearly hints about the upcoming Kombat Pact 2. Fans of the game may remember that the first Kombat Pass also saw the release of four new DLC combatants. Back then, it introduced the fighters Tanya and Tremor as well as cinematic guest characters Jason Voorhees and Predator. The four new fighters were teased in a similar manner and came via standalone purchases and as discounted bundle deal.

This week, Mortal Kombat X director Ed Boon has once again posted tweets possibly teasing new fighters for Kombat Pack 2. The latest photo he shared teases Havik and Drahmin's addition to the roster. As seen on the image above, both Drahmin and Havik have been rendered with significantly more details than their previous full appearance in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon back in 2006.

The photo's caption might likewise provide additional clues. In an apparent reference to The Weekend's recent hit song "Can't Feel My Face," Boon says, "we can't feel our face when we're with you! And we hate it. And we hate it." A probable explanation for the caption is that the director is making fun of the fact that both characters do not have fully formed faces.

In other Mortal Kombat news, a renowned character from the game's virtual world will be joining the WWE Immortals mobile game's roster on October 29. Johnny Cage has spent 20 years fighting in Mortal Kombat tournaments, facing adversaries such as the undead, ninjas, sorcerers, and more. This time, he will be taking on opponents based on the real world, such John Cena.

Those who already have the WWE Immortals game can add Cage to their roster by buying the Johnny Cage Early Access pack (pricing has yet to be announced), or unlock him by finishing an series of fights where Johnny Cage is the final boss.

A trailer for the Mortal Kombat character's arrival to the mobile has also been posted (see below). It is a humor-filled video where Johnny Cage can be seen beating up and making fun of John Cena.
