GTA 6 is rumored to feature the voice of Eva Mendez as female lead character. Grand Theft Auto Report

Grand Theft Auto is one of the most successful video game franchises in history. Indeed, fans of the video game are still buying the latest installment, GTA 5 that was released in 2013 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2013, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2014 and finally for Windows PC in 2015.

This only proves that the GTA franchise is still very much drawing a huge following from the gaming community.

But fans of GTA are clamoring for the next iteration of the video game series and want the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI to have its first female protagonist. Luckily for them, their calls were not unheard by the developers at Rockstar Games.

Back in 2014, Rockstar games co-founder Dan Houser revealed the company will introduce a female about the character in the game but they just don't know yet determined the right game for it. A report by The Guardian said that the female character will hopefully be introduced in the Grand Theft Auto 6.

The gaming community is also hoping that Rockstar Games would expand the GTA series and provide multiple protagonists in the next GTA 6. But NeuroGadget has expressed doubt the game developer will keep the idea, but because GTA 5 is proving to be highly successful, there is big chance this idea will be pursued in the development of GTA 6, the report said.

Another area that Rockstar needs more improvement for GTA 6 is the multiplayer mode. This will ensure that fans of the game will keep their interest high. Although the current multiplayer mode in GTA 5 is already excellent, there are still many issues that needs to be fixed to further improve the mode.

NeuroGadget said, "The GTA 5 mutliplayer mode had a lot of issues right from the beginning, which disappointed a lot of players. With other words, if GTA 6 will feature the multiplayer mode and again, it will come with a lot of bugs and issues which will make the players have second thoughts about purchasing this game."

According to Movie Pilot, the designers of GTA 6 have actually based the story line of the upcoming GTA installment after Hollywood actor Ryan Gosling. We have already confirmed that Gosling has agreed to play a major part in the development in GTA 6. There were also reports that his wife, Eva Mendez is also being tapped, probably to give voice to the planned female character.

Other reports have surfaced that the developers are planning to use the map of the entire U.S. for GTA 6, although fans are asking for a more global setting. Even Houser stated in an interview that he is entertaining the idea of having London as part of the story setting.

According to some reports, the GTA 6 will most likely be released sometime in 2019-2020.
