WWE 2K16 DLC Release Dates, New Features, Largest Roster In History

Starting this November up to March 2016, WWE games will be rolling out new DLC (downloadable content) each month for WWE 2K16, according to WWE.2K.com. With already 120 playable Superstars and Divas and new characters introduced via the latest DLC released last October 27, the roster for the WWE 2K16 game will be the largest in the history of WWE games.

"WWE 2K16 will deliver a unique and extensive selection of downloadable content spanning WWE's past and present, including the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame-inspired 2K Showcase, a solid offering of new in-game moves and a wide variety of playable WWE and NXT talent," said Greg Thomas, President at Visual Concepts. "Complementing WWE 2K16's largest roster in the series' history, this year's content offerings provide fans with an all-encompassing WWE experience at an excellent value."

The final WWE 2K16 includes the longest list in its roster of playable characters. TheSmachDownHotel.com gave a rundown of all the characters based on their overall ratings. The list includes Adam Rose, Bad News Barrett, Cactus Jack, Daniel Bryan, Enzo Amore, Fandango, General Adnan, Heath Slater, John Cena, Kama Mustafa, Lord Steven Real, Mikey Whipwreck, Sting, and many others, the report details.

This developed as Wrestling Inc announced that WWE 2K16 has been officially released in North America for several consoles, including the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. The latest installment of the massively-successful video game promises to deliver the most "authentic, comprehensive, and action-packed" WWE game experience.


Thomas, added "WWE 2K16 builds upon last year's foundation and delivers a great combination of authenticity, realism, gameplay and popular features. This year's huge roster, memorable 2K Showcase, second year MyCareer offering, additions to Creation Suite and improved Online offerings are certain to ignite the WWE Universe."

WWE 2K16 fans can further expand their roster by subscribing to the Season Pass DLC for $24.99. This will allow players buy almost all WWE 2K16 DLC content and will give them 20 percent savings from the original content purchase price.

Players will receive the following items via the Season Pass DLC as they become available:

     •    Accelerator (access to all unlockable content available in the game);

     •    Legends Pack;

     •    2015 Hall of Fame Showcase;

     •    New Moves Pack;

     •    Future Stars Pack.

The 2015 Hall of Fame Showcase will open seven playable matches, the New Moves Pack will add 30 new moves, while the Future Stars Pack, which will add five playable NXT Superstars.
