In the recent Los Angeles Auto Show, Honda unveiled their all-new 10th generation Civic sedan. The new model also comes in LX and certain EX-models that showcases light, sharp handling and an efficient, 1.5-liter turbocharged engine.

This new generation of Honda Civic will be "even greater than you thought," according to a published review.

The latest model has an edgy look because of its fastback design that forms a continuous flow from the roofline to the trunk lip. Its rear part features an array of intakes and a bright chrome badge holder bookended by headlights, which can be optioned as LEDs.

As for the interior, it has a terrific audio system, radar and navigation system, as well as a panoramic roof. The driver can also use a 7-inch touchscreen display and Bluetooth connectivity. The touch screen system supports Android Auto and Apple Car Play. Honda incorporates Garmin navigation software in this new model that gives live traffic information for smooth driving experience.

For its turbo power, 2016 Honda Civic has an array of choices for car enthusiasts.

Lower-trim Civics has a 2-liter four-cylinder engine, 158 horsepower and 138 pound-feet of torque. Buyers can also choose a turbocharged 1.5-liter four cylinder with direct injection, making 174 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque.

Honda estimates the car consumes an average of 35 mpg, which is impressive because of its fuel efficiency.

Aside from its gorgeous design and functional features, the 10th generation of Civic sedan has active safety features. The new Civic has Honda's LaneWatch system that gives drivers better view on the road. It enables drivers to see the right side of the car, eliminating the blind spot.

In addition to LaneWatch, the car has driver assist features under the name Honda Sensing. This includes lane departure prevention, adaptive cruise control and automated braking function to prevent collision with other cars or pedestrians.

"My overall impression was that the 2016 Civic will make for an easy driver, something you can jump in and go for a quick trip to the store, the daily commute and even longer weekend trips," according to a review from Cnet.com.

Michael Willrich, Honda product planner, said the base price of this model will be at $18,640.
