Earlier this month, WWE 2k16 players complained about the bug in the Future Stars DLC pack. Good thing, 2K Sports quickly released new game patches to resolve the problem in the "Universe Mode" of WWE 2K16. Here's what is currently known about WWE 2k16 DLC release date and new features.

Last week, the game developer announced that it is now safe to download the Future Stars DLC patch, just be sure to install the new Patch 1.05. The new downloadable content was supposed to add new characters in the game, but it caused problems in the Universe Mode. The DLC pack had corrupted files and deleted the player's progress in the game mode.

Universe Mode is a fan favorite mode in WWE 2K16, so it is not surprising that players were up in arms when the new Future Stars pack deleted their saved data. The problem forced players to start the game all over again.  On other hand, the three months that game developers spent in building the game's storylines and customizations are rendered useless.

After looking at the problem, Officials of 2k Sports said the issue only affected PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game.  For WWE 2k16 PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 players, they don't have to have worry because the bug did not reach their gaming platform, a report from Games Radar published.

Gamers can now use the Future Stars DLC if they already downloaded and installed the Patch 1.05. The DLC pack contains Samoa Joe along with two tag teams: Blake & Murphy, and Los Matadores.

It is important to take note that this patch is needed to avoid unnecessary problems while playing the wrestling-simulation game.

Aside from addressing the issue in Universe mode, the latest patch adds new exciting contents in the game. It also enabled players to delete self-uploaded logos from WWE Community Creations and the My Logos area in Logo Manager.

Meanwhile, rumors about the next edition of WWE 2k16 are now spreading online. Most of the DLCs in the current WWE are released, so fans are asking about the contents of WWE 2k17. The last DLC pack of the game is the "2015 Hall of Fame Showcase," which might come sometime this year.

Several gaming websites said Goldberg might be included in the game. The speculation started with the wrestling superstar was asked on Twitter if he is in negotiations with WWE to appear in WWE 2k17. To answer the question, the two-time world champion Goldberg replied, "I think I've heard [that rumor]."

For some players it's not really hard to believe that Goldberg is included in the WWE 2k17, but when it comes to 2K Sports, players should not expect in terms of "logic".
