It seems that some gadget lovers are starting to get bored on Android Marshmallow that's why they are curious about the latest developments in Android N, Google's upcoming operating system.  Now, we've collected all of the latest news on the web so that you'll know when is the release date of Android N firmware.

Reports from the BitBag say Android N will land on selected Nexus devices in the next few weeks. However, the exact release dates are not yet revealed. Owners of LG Nexus 5X, Google Nexus 6, Pixel C, Huawei Nexus 6P and Nexus 9 are set to have the forthcoming operating system from Google.

In addition to these handsets, other Google gadgets like Nexus 9G and Nexus Player are also scheduled to get Android N. For Nexus 5 users, their device is not included in the Android N list. However, Tech Radar reported Google might release the firmware on Nexus 5 later this year.

In order to get the Android N, users have to download the firmware on their computer first. After that, they have to send the downloaded files to their device through USB cable.  In the phone, go to "Settings," choose "About" and select "Check System Update". If the update is available, there should be a notification. Select "Install" and wait until the Android N is installed.

As for the features of Android N, tech websites say the operating system will introduce Multi-window mode, which will give users an opportunity to work in split-screen modes on phones and tablets. Also, it will feature Bundled notifications, Direct-reply notifications and a new set of notifications panel.

The firmware is also going to step up the energy-saving software techniques of Doze Mode. By doing so, it will thoroughly limit background tasks whenever the screen is turned off.

As of now, Android N is still under development stage, but the possible names for the OS are already making rounds online. Google has not yet revealed the meaning of "N" in Android N. So far, the tech giant released Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean, KitKat, Lollipop and Marshmallow.

Several tech enthusiasts suggested the OS could be Noodles, Nachos, Nori, Nougat and Neapolitan Ice Cream. Interestingly, the official Twitter account of Android wrote a status that says, "Thanks for all of the lollipops, marshmallows and Na..."
