Chinese phone maker OnePlus will reveal its latest smartphone from a virtual reality space station. The company gave away thousands of Loop VR headsets in preparation for OnePlus 3's launching on June 14. Now, we'll give you details on how to get OnePlus 3 smartphone and its specs and features.

Previous OnePlus devices have been regulated by an invite system. Through this strategy, the company attempted to find its place in a seemingly overcrowded smartphone market. Now, the OnePlus 3 release does not have an invite system. In addition, the company offered 30,000 Loop VR headsets, which will be used by customers. The viewers will also have a chance to pre-order the smartphone before its launching.

The Chinese phone maker created virtual space station headquarters called "The Loop" which will be used to launch the smartphone.

For those who want to have the free VR headsets, The Telegraph reported all of the headsets were already claimed. It is not yet revealed if the company will broadcast the event through a live stream channel. The Loop VR headsets will be shipped starting June 6.

Based on the invitation, OnePlus 3 launching will start at 12:30pm ET on June 14. The company will also hold a "VR shopping experience" for buyers who will watch the event through VR headsets.

For those who can't make it to the VR event, OnePlus 3 will become available at 3pm ET on the same day while supplies last. The next batch of the smartphone will go on sale two to three weeks after the June 14 launching.

Industry experts say OnePlus 3 is expected to go head-to-head against smartphone market's top brands -- iPhone SE, HTC 10 and Samsung Galaxy S7.

Now, lets' check out the handset's specs. Instead of a traditional LCD display, the handset will have an AMOLED (active-matrix organic light-emitting diode) screen, a material that provides better touchscreen response and uses less battery. Also, it will have a 5-inch display and a 3,000mAh battery capacity.

For camera features, OnePlus 3 will sport 16-MP rear-facing camera and 8-MP front camera. Inside, it will be fuelled by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 processor. In addition, Google's Android Marshmallow will power the device.

Wired estimated the OnePlus 3 will be priced around $400.
