After the successful launching of first Dragonball Xenoverse, Bandai Namco is now gearing up to release its sequel. The Xenoverse 2 is expected to introduce new characters, larger city and improved gameplay. Prepare for another round of action-packed battles as the game becomes available later this year.

Here's the latest about Dragon Xenoverse 2 release date, features and update.

During E3 2016, Bandai Namco showcased a teaser for the upcoming Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. By the looks of it, the game is set to be a nice successor to the original game. The fights are smooth and fluid, and game developers have been able to reinvent the combat from classic Dragon Ball Z. The characters really look like how they fight in the anime.

The character customization system from the first Xenoverse will return with a host of new personalization choices. Also, the race chosen for the player's character will determine what locations it can visit. For example, Namekians can enter certain places on Namek that other races can't. Every race will also have specific game rewards.

Furthermore, there will be new player hub city which is seven times bigger than the previous edition of the game. It can contain up to 300 players simultaneously. For the first time, players can roam around the city on a hovering machine. Some gamers believe it might be a faster transportation system than flying.

Interestingly, the Dragonball Xenoverse 2 will run at 60 Frames-per-second (FPS), a significant increase from 30 FPS of the first Xenoverse game. Bandai also said the game will have a "dynamic camera" that will help players track fighters during intense battles.

According to GameSpot, the confirmed new characters are Turles from the Dragon Ball Z: The Tree of Might movie and Future Gohan. The latter is an alternate timeline version of the original Gohan and lives in the same era as Future Trunks. On the other hand, Turtles is a character that looks like Goku. He was the primary villain in the 1990s film Tree of Might. Some of his distinct features are black armor and red Scouter.

Forbes reported Dragonball Xenoverse 2 will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Steam later this year. Unlike the previous game, it will not become available for PS3 or Xbox 360. We expect Bandai Namco and Developer Dimps will release more details in the next months to come. Watch the game's demo below.
