Motorola Moto Z and Moto Z Force Droid Edition for Verizon Release Date, Price, Specs and News

Motorola is still a big player when it comes to the smartphone business, and the event known as Lenovo's Tech World put a spotlight on some new Verizon exclusives for the United States with the Moto Z and the Moto Z Force Droid Edition.  Verizon is planning on having some exclusive deal on these Motorola phones, and this is the latest news about the Release Date, Specs, Price, and other News.

According to Phone Arena, the Motorola Moto Z Force Droid Edition is going to be unveiled during an event scheduled for July 14th.  Granted, Lenovo's Tech World already revealed information about the Moto Z Force, but information such as pricing and availability will be announced at a July 14th event. 

From what we know about the Moto Z Droid Edition, it will have a 5.5 inch AMOLED screen which will have a 1440 x 2560 resolution.  The Snapdragon 820 chipset will have a quad-core 2.2 GHz CPU and the Adreno 530 GPU, and it has a 3500 mAh battery.  There will also be 4 GB inside with 64 GB of native storage, and it is possible to access the 2 TB capacity with the microSD slot. 

So, what will the camera be like?  Think of the 21 Megapixel rear facing camera comes with OIS and an aperture of f/1.8.  As for the front facing camera it is a 5 Megapixel with a front-facing flash.  There will also be fingerprint scanner to be treated with nanocoating to protect the phone from moisture. 

Just to let you know, both the new Motorola Z phones by embracing the Moto Mods.  There are MotoMods that Motorola will unveil this year which are modular accessories that connect to the pins.  A separate article from GSM Arena details that these MotoMods are semi-modular with distinct functions like an extra battery, stereo speakers, and one with a pico projector.  The prices are $299 for the Insta-Share Projector, $79.99 for the Soundboost, $89 for the TUMI Power Pack, $99 for the TUMI Wireless Charging Power Pack, and $79 for the Kate Spadeshell. 

There is also some news about how Verizon will make these phones different their subscribers.  Droid edition owners will apparently get two years of free, unlimited original quality Google Photos storage. 

This Moto event will be held in New York on July 14, but there isn't any prices or specific release dates yet, according to Android Authority.  They will also be available from Motorola this fall.  The Moto Z will be available internationally in September, but the Z-Force is only going to be available in the United States.  As for the price, there doesn't seem to be any word as yet.
