iPhone 7 Release Date, Pre-orders, Rumors, and New Features

By now, most of us already know that there will be a new iPhone this year, because there has been one every year.  With the last year's model being known as the iPhone 6S, we know that this will not be another "S" year for Apple as it will bring us the iPhone 7.  If you are upgrading this year, then you are probably going to need to buy a new case as this iPhone 7 looks to be a total redesign.  This is everything that is known about the iPhone 7 release date, pre-orders, rumors, and new features.

According to Hypebeast, it would appear that the iPhone 7 will start accepting pre-orders as of September 9.  The iPhone 7 still has no confirmed release date, but it is believed that it will show up on Friday, September 16.  Considering that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S were released on Friday, it certainly is following tradition.

This leak has been reported on many sites, and it all comes from Evan Blass, who is apparently a proven source of such information.  So, there is probably going to be an announcement from the Big Apple on Monday, September 12th

Speaking of leaks, there has been constant rumors that the new iPhone 7 will completely remove the 3.5 mm headphone jack altogether. Part of that is a new design that will supposedly make the iPhone thinner, and it will certainly create a demand for Bluetooth earbuds and headphones, where in in good use anyway.

There is some leaks of an adapter that is a Lighting to 3.5 mm, which would essentially allow the user to plug in headphones where the iPhone 7 charges.  It is also going to be expected that the iPhone 7 could come with Bluetooth earbuds, or maybe this adapter.

There are also reports that the iPhone 7 could have a longer battery life, even though most of the time Apple does not sacrifice other features of the latest iPhone to achieve higher battery power.  It is possible that there could be a higher screen resolution, raising the pixel density.

Another rumor going around is the improvement is the quality of the iPhone 7's camera.  According to CNET, this dual camera would likely be included on the 5.5 inch screen iPhone 7 Plus and the supposed iPhone Pro, but not the standard 4.7 inch screen.

Many believe that 16 GB will no longer be the lowest storage offering, with the iPhone 7 starting at 32 GB and raising to 64 and 128 GB options.  Then there are the other rumors of the 3D screen (which won't happen), the wireless charging (which probably will happen), and better waterproofing (which should happen).

So, assuming that the rumors that I talked about earlier are true, within this announcement could be some of the latest news about the Apple Watch and the iPad.  Or, Apple could do what they did last year and have two separate announcements.
