Nintendo has had an interesting decline for the past few years as the Wii U never lived up to the predecessor of the Wii. The biggest disappointments for fans of the console is that no new The Legend of Zelda game came out for the Wii U. It was supposed to be in 2015, but it will now come out with the Nintendo NX, the next generation of system. However, there has to be some more games then just The Legend of Zelda, and here are a list including Mario and Pokemon.
The Nintendo NX Mario Release Date
According to CNET, there is a new Mario title, but there isn't really any further details. Considering that the Wii U had Super Mario 3D World, which was a combination of Super Mario Galaxy and a 2D side-scroller Super Mario Brothers game, then it will be interesting to see what Nintendo NX will bring. At this point, Mario will be left behind if there isn't some kind of Virtual Reality involved.
Nintendo NX Pokémon Release Date
Since Pokémon GO is currently sweeping the world, even when the Olympics are going on, there is definitely going to be demand for more of it. There are reports that Nintendo will "bring Pokémon to the platform", but it is not known what form it will take. Maybe there is some kind port of Pokémon Sun and Moon, which is due to launch on the 3DS.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wind Release Date
Most of us know that March 2017 will be the release date of the Nintendo NX. There isn't an exact release date for that, and there also isn't an exact release date for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wind. I'm going to assume that it will show up when the Nintnedo NX shows up.
It seems that Nintendo is really banking its success on this new The Legend of Zelda game. So much so, that if the game receives any hate at all (we are talking a rating below a 9) it's possible that the company won't ever recover after one of its most beloved franchises fails to please.
What Else is New for the Nintendo NX?
What is very interesting is that there is another game underdevelopment, according to Nintendo Creative Fellow Shigeru Miyamoto. "In terms of NX, there's an idea that we're working on. That's why we can't share anything at this point, and I don't want to comment on the other companies. If it was just a matter of following advancements in technology, things would be coming out a lot quicker."
The other companies that Miyamoto was referring to could be third-party support that is secured from Sega, Square Enix, Ubisoft, Activision, and Warner Brothers.
