NBA Rumors: Atlanta Hawks Dwight Howard Confirms Rudy Gay Trade; Dennis Schroder, Kyle Korver Excited For Kings Star

The Atlanta Hawks have made some major changes in their roster this offseason starting with the exit of franchise leader Al Horford and the entry of former Los Angeles Lakers star Dwight Howard. However, it looks like the Kyle Korver team has no plans of stopping anytime soon. At this point, fans are anticipating the widely talked about Rudy Gay trade to the Atlanta Hawks.

The Sacramento Kings suffered a disappointing season that got worse when talks of a Rudy Gay trade started to surface. With the then tangible tension between DeMarcus Cousins and George Karl, the team suffered from both emotional and physical pressure on and off the hardwood court. With Rajon Rondo opting to get out of the lineup and sign with the Chicago Bulls instead, the Sacramento Kings appear to be poised to lose another veteran via a Rudy Gay trade.

When the Atlanta Hawks signed Dwight Howard, the Kyle Korver squad hoped to get a veteran who can help the younger guys in crucial games. With their impressive playoffs run against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Dennis Schroder squad present exciting chances of dominating next NBA season. Will a Rudy Gay trade help make this happen?

"Things have changed a little bit. It's going to be a new season," said Thabo Sefolosha of the roster changes in the offseason. The Atlanta Hawks star added, "I think we have a different dynamic now. It's going to take a little bit to get used to I'm sure but I think it's a good change for us. It's going to bring some toughness, I think. Hopefully, we'll be competitive."

He went on to share, "We've lost in some aspects. We've gained some with Dwight coming - great player, incredible talent - so I think it's hard to say. We lose a guy like Al, you can't say if it will be easy to get something that he was bringing to the team. Overall, I think we've still got a good core group of guys. It's going to be on us to be a team and play as a team and to win games."

At the moment, the parties involved have yet to comment on the issue. While Rudy Gay trade rumors are rife, the Sacramento Kings remain mum on the matter. Nonetheless, the lack of official confirmation has not stopped fans of the Atlanta Hawks to get excited over the possible entry of the DeMarcus Cousins squad star.

What do you think? Should the Atlanta Hawks pursue a Rudy Gay trade? Or will Dwight Howard be enough for the former Al Horford squad?
