Forward looking individuals would definitely wish that their favorite TV series would not come to an end, and that it will be able to last for as long as possible. Unfortunately for many of us, good things do come to an end -- and so too must one’s favorite TV series. However, it looks like Longmire has yet to throw in the towel, especially since Longmire Season 5 has been released on Netflix not too long ago. This has led fans to ask for the series’ episodes that aired on A&E before. The past might be nostalgic and unchangeable, but the future is full of hope and unpredictable. What of Longmire Season 6 then?

It seems that Longmire’s official Twitter account did tease on the latest that concerns the series’ renewal and cancellation status status. The big question that everyone is asking is, “Will Season 6 happen or not?” Do take note that more information than you would like could be revealed ahead, so if you are allergic to spoilers, then it would be best to skip the paragraphs below.

Longmire Season 6’s renewal is believed to have been confirmed on Netflix. A recent Twitter post did drop hints on the latest developments concerning the series’ most recent renewal and cancellation status. Longmire Season 5 has proven itself to be quite the trending topic on social media since it was released recently, and fans are certainly doing their bit to ensure that Netflix knows just how large of a following the drama series has, and that it would be in the best interest of Netflix to offer a renewal for Season 6.

In Longmire’s official Twitter account, it was revealed that they are simply waiting for Netflix to issue an official announcement on the Longmire Season 5 renewal for the next season, especially when the Season 5 finale proved to be quite the cliffhanger. Huffington Post did mention that the storyline in Longmire Season 5 has managed to keep viewers riveted to their seats, and a huge number of fans are looking forward to Vic and Walt kick starting a possible romance, as well as what kind of situation that Henry Standing Bear will be in in the coming season.

Longmire did air on A&E in the past, before it ended up as cancelled in Season 3. Looking back the past two seasons, it is safe to say this on the fans’ behalf that we are very thankful for Netflix seeing a diamond in the rough with the Longmire series, and picking up the tab for Season 4 and subsequently, Season 5. Why not make it a hat trick of seasons for the masses? I am quite sure that the series’ fans would be more than happy to have more screen time for the likes of Sheriff Walt, Vic, Henry and others.

All that we need to do now is to sit tight and wait for a renewal announcement from the folks over at Netflix. Hopefully that positive official announcement will arrive sooner rather than later.
