Aaron Rodgers’ Serious Family Feud Affecting Green Bay Packers’ Performance?

The Green Bay Packers have been performing rather poorly for the past couple of weeks. This has been attributed to the feud plaguing quarterback Aaron Rodgers and his family.

Through an article published by Bleacher Report, the sports news site claimed that Rodgers has drastically distanced himself from his own family. According to the source, the athlete severed his ties with his family almost two years ago.

As noted by the site, the issue between the Rodgers have become so severe that they don't even know Aaron's mobile phone number. He also allegedly told them that they are not welcome to stay in his hometown Green Bay. Also, back in Christmas 2014, his family tried to reach out to him by sending him gifts. However, he reportedly mailed these back a few months later.

In addition, when his grandfather who he used to call before each of his games died, he refused to attend his funeral.

It is not yet clear how the deep feud started, since Aaron has not yet issued a statement to clarify the matter. According to the source, the people around him are still trying to figure out what caused the rift in his family.

"There's no explanation for him playing any worse," the source said according to Yahoo! Sports. "People are trying to figure it out. He knows he's doing the wrong thing, and he's so arrogant and prideful that he thinks he can separate his personal life from his professional life, even though all of us know that's impossible."

"You can't do that," the insider added. "You can do that in little spurts, like when Brett Favre went out and played amazingly when he loses his dad. But when you're talking about real situations that aren't all of a sudden circumstantial and you [expletive] over good people, you're supposed to love, it's a [expletive] thing to do and you're going to get humbled."

Although the root of the problem has not yet been confirmed, it's probably the reason why Rodgers has been playing so poorly. Currently, the Packers are facing a four-game losing streak, which could turn to five depending on the upcoming game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
If this continues, the team could temporarily replace him with backup quarterback Brett Hundley.
