Samsung is certainly doing their level best to make sure that they are able to keep up with the Joneses in terms of making sure that their existing flagship smartphones -- the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge will have the latest version of Android 7.0 Nougat running. Heck, even Sony’s Xperia X has already picked up Android 7.1.1 Nougat, which adds even more pressure onto the South Korean conglomerate to perform in this aspect. Well, we are glad to bring some refreshing word that Samsung would make sure that their 2016 flagship Galaxy S series handsets would have Android 7.0 Nougat running on them before the month of January comes to a close.

After all, Samsung’s pretty long running Android Nougat beta program for selected Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge owners has come to an end. In other words, most -- if not all, of the testing has been done, and Samsung would most probably want to ensure that everyone else who has given the Android Nougat beta program would emerge from the experience all the richer, and happier. GSMArena mentioned that the end of the Galaxy Beta Program marks a reasonable time for Samsung to prepare the actual release of the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge sometime this month.

As for those who took part in the Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy S7 edge Android Nougat beta program, they are also able to testify that they have received this particular message from none other than Samsung themselves, “We would do our best to distribute the official version in January as soon as possible.” This is certainly an encouragement, and hopefully it happens before the Chinese Lunar New Year kicks off, as that would certainly make family reunions a more “updated” one, so to speak.

In the same message sent out to the Android Nougat beta program participants, it was also mentioned, “We would like to thank you for the interest and affection shown during this time. We will try to apply most of the useful opinions shared by all of you in official Nougat OS version.”

Not only that, another particular pointer that the release of the Android 7.0 Nougat update is imminent can be attributed to the publication of the official User Manual. Inside the official User Manual, the various operating system changes have been depicted. This particular guide can be downloaded from servers online, in particular Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphones that carry the model numbers SM-G930F and SM-G930FD, as well as SM-G935F and SM-G935FD for the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge variants.

There will definitely be improvements made to the overall Galaxy S7 and S7 edge user experience after Android 7.0 Nougat has been installed, such as a smoother appearance and control scheme for the camera interface, as it will soon be able to lock focus on one spot of the viewfinder before obtaining the exposure settings from a different one. Well, are you keen on the Android 7.0 Nougat update release? We know we are!
