The battle between who is the best soccer video game begins once again. Developer Konami recently revealed the release date of Pro Evolution Soccer 2018. As expected, it will come with brand-new features that longtime soccer fans will really love. On the other hand, developer EA Sports is making significant changes in FIFA 18 for its scheduled September 2017 launching.

Let's start with the latest news about PES 2018. Konami announced Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 will hit gaming shelves on September 12 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. The gaming company also implemented a REAL Touch + process, where players can use chest, head, and legs to receive an incoming pass based on the unpredictability of the ball.

Of course, expect the return of 2v2, 3v3 matches and 11v11 online play. Master League in the outgoing PES 2017 was boring. But players can expect improved features in PES 2018, where there are new features like pre-season tournaments, pre-match interviews, comprehensive player analysis, and a new transfer system.

In an article published in Forbes, Konami Digital Entertainment President Masami Saso said PES 2018 builds on the foundations of the growing popularity of the series. The developers also considered the request of the franchise's increasing fan base. "It is also a game with an eye on the future," President Saso added.

For pre-orders deals, buyers of the digital FC Barcelona Special Edition on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 or Steam will get exciting items. The full contents have not yet revealed, but expect to get 1,000 myClub coins and 5 myClub player agents, which includes a top club and legend from FC Barcelona.

EA Sports has not yet announced the official release date of FIFA 18. But it is safe to say that it will come out it September 2017 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. In addition, EA Sports CCO Peter Moore revealed earlier this year that FIFA 18 will land also on Nintendo Switch.

Interestingly, The Journey story mode returns on FIFA 2018 for the second season. Several gaming websites claim the story mode will also let players join the international team. 2018 is a World Cup year, so it makes sense to let players performs on the grandest stage of football in FIFA 18.
