2016 NFL Draft: Possible Tension Between Carson Wentz And Philadelphia Eagles Could Secure Sam Bradford’s Starting Role

New rumors suggest that the drafting of Carson Wentz as the new quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles is causing problems within the team. However, the young athlete maintained that his arrival will not cause any problems between him and his new teammates.

The NFL community is well aware that after the Eagles drafted Wentz as its second overall pick, things between the team and its quarterback Sam Bradford got a bit rocky. For one, even before the draft event started, Bradford reportedly told the team to trade him away because he knows the Eagles was looking for a prospect QB. For Bradford, this means that the Eagles is looking to get someone to replace him as the team's starting quarterback.

Bradford was then criticized by other current and former NFL players due to his lack of self-confidence. Because of, rumors started to emerge about the tension caused by Wentz among Eagles players. Some even suggested that to diffuse this, the Eagles might consider retaining Bradford as a starter.

However, for Wentz, the team is currently doing fine and he is getting along with everybody.

"Personally, I don't think there will be a lot of tension," he said according to NFL.com. "People might make it out to be but the coaches and everybody will be on the same page and I think it will be a really good working relationship for sure."

Wentz also noted that members of the Eagles' quarterback lineup have agreed to compete against one another to for the starting spot. This will certainly be good for the team as a whole since the competitions will be able to determine who's the best player to become the Philadelphia franchise' next pass maker.

"It is what it is," he added. "Like I've been saying all along, it's out of my control. People want to make it a big situation, but like I said earlier, we'll have a really good working relationship and I think it will benefit the team because we are going to compete, and really everybody in that quarterback room and in the entire organization is going to compete and push each other, so I think it will only benefit the team."
