During the weekend, reports broke out saying that Aqib Talib got shot in the leg while at a nightclub in Dallas. Although these reports are true, the events that led to the incident are still unclear.

One of the angles that investigators and the Denver Broncos are considering is that the corner back might have shot himself in the leg. According to Pro Football Talk, this could have happened when the altercation in the club erupted.

As for what actually happened, Yahoo! Sports reported that Talib was at the Dallas club called V Line when a fight occurred. During the fight, three people got shot, including Talib. Authorities have already identified the two victims but are still piecing together the events that transpired during the earlier hours of Sunday morning.

One possibility is that when the fight happened, or when another individual took out his gun and started shooting, Talib could have taken out his own pistol. This is also probably when he got hot in the leg with his own gun.

This is not the first time the athlete in an incident such as this. Back in 2011, he was charged with aggravated assault in Texas when he reportedly fired a gun at his sister's boyfriend. The man survived and the charges against the pro-footballer were eventually dropped.

Also, according to Dallas police officials, Talib got involved in another club fight in Dallas last year. As noted in the reports, he and his brother were at the LUXX Club when a fight occurred and shots were fired. His brother got arrested and they were both investigated for aggravated assault. But, like the 2011 incident, the charges against them were dropped.

According to representatives of the Broncos, Talib was treated for his injuries and is fine now. However, he missed the opportunity to join his teammates in meeting U.S. President Barrack Obama as part of their Super Bowl 50 victory tour.

News about Talib's shooting came just days after NBA player Bryce Dejean-Jones was fatally shot in Dallas. According to CNN, the athlete may have mistakenly tried to enter the wrong apartment which prompted the resident to open fire.
