Amy Duggar, the cousin of disgraced 19 Kids and Counting star Josh Duggar, courted a bevy of public response when she uploaded a snapshot of herself and Josh's wife Anna Duggar, who was looking slimmer than usual, to her Instagram account.

The photo was a big deal among loyal social media followers of the Duggars, who, despite Amy's warning not to post anything negative about Anna, proceeded to post surprised comments on the latter's weight loss, and used this as an opportunity to blast the missing-in-action, eldest Duggar son, Enstarz reports.

The report detailed a few comments that were left behind by fans and other concerned Netizens:

"Anna's face is thinner. She probably has lost weight due to stress. Let's hope she divorces that pig husband real soon," one commenter posted. The second was:  "She looks to have lost a lot of weight, my guess is the stress. She is beautiful. And she deserves more than a perverted pedophile and his demented, narcissistic family." Another said: "You can tell she's lost weight. I don't agree with their beliefs either, but no one deserves what that scum has put her and her babies through."

Such comments flooded the Instagram post despite Amy's warning that she would delete anyone with a negative comment: "Any negative comments will be deleted, just try me. She's beautiful!" the young Duggar captioned.

Amy's protective stance over Anna Duggar can be understandable given the fact that Anna has had a very rough time since her husband's sexual misdemeanors were revealed in a very public expose last summer. Within one season alone, revelations about Josh's adulterous exploits, subscription to Ashley Madison, and details about his molestation of his sisters were enough to get their reality TV series axed and the whole Duggar family name tarnished, the Inquisitr reports.

Nevertheless, life goes on for the Duggars, and this includes Josh's humiliated wife Anna, who decided to make a rare public appearance with her cousin-in-law at Loving Choices, an event hosted by a conservative family planning organization.

The appearance at the charity event was an opportunity for Anna Duggar to show that life went on for the mother-of-four despite the fact that her husband is still hidden and out of sight ever since his family deposited him at a "faith-based" rehab in August.

According to a previous report by Gospel Herald, Jim Bob Duggar offered Anna Duggar a new house in exchange for a chance to remain with her erring husband, but Anna refused the offer.
