Android 4.4.3 KitKat Update for Nexus 5, 7; Moto X, Moto G and Moto E

Days after the new Android 4.4.3 KitKat update to the Google Nexus 5 and Nexus 7, the roll out has extended to the Motorola Moto G and Moto E, as well as T-Mobile's Motorola Moto X.

According to Motorola's official blog, the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update is available for the Moto G and Moto E through the manufacturer, but only for users who bought the devices online in the United States.

T-Mobile subscribers using the Moto X will also be getting the same Android 4.4 KitKat version, as part of a roll out that began last Friday. There is no word when T-Mobile's Moto G and Moto E will be geting the newest Android 4.4. KitKat update, but it should be soon given the speed of the recent roll out. The nationwide service provider has already begun rolling out out the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update for the Google Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 as well.

Of importance, software updates for mobile devices usually roll out in a trickle. In other words, device owners will usually have to wait for notification alerts before installing new software.

According to Motorola's Moto G release note, users will need to keep their mobile devices charged to at least 50 percent before downloading the Android 4.4.3 KitKat Update. Subscribers will also need to access stronger WiFi spots to avoid disconnection during the download process. Any interruption while downloading and installing the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update may result in serious damage to the mobile device. This rule also extends to the Moto E.

Moto X, Moto G, and Moto E users getting the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update will expect to find an improved user-interface that is said to enhance the device's usability. A new dialer app has been added as well as several bug fixes. The latest Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade comes with improved camera software that provides better color reproduction. Exposure is also more consistent, allowing for better image quality even in lowlight conditions.

There is still no confirmation as to when the new Android 4.4 KitKat update will be available for other mobile devices let alone other service providers. Even so, there exists the possibility that the Android 4.4.3 KitKat Update will be rolling out across the board in the coming months.
