Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update Release Date for Samsung Galaxy Note 5, S6 Edge +, Note 4, S6, S6 Edge, Note Edge, Alpha, S5, S4, and Note 3 for Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and Sprint

Now it seems like some devices besides the Google Nexus series are about to get Android version 6.0 (also known as Android M or Marshmallow), everyone is wondering what devices from what smartphone manufacturers will get the Over the Air (OTA) update first.  Topping everyone's list is Samsung, particularly the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, S6 Edge +, Note 4, S6, S6 Edge, Note 4, Note Edge, Alpha, S5, S4, and Note 3 for U.S. Carriers like Verizon, US Cellular, T-Mobile, AT&T, and Sprint. 

The Latin Post reports that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will be getting its Marshmallow upgrade in "a very short while".  There was a leaked document for model number SM-N920G, and this document had a date stamp of November 15, 2015, with a status marked as "uploading".  This means that Samsung is in the late stages of the upgrade testing process. 

If the Note 5 is getting Marshmallow soon, then chances are the Galaxy S6 Edge + should also be receiving it, considering that these devices were released at about the same time.  There are rumors that the other, non-plus, Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge might be receiving their Marshmallow upgrade in January of 2016. 

Tech Radar reports that the next devices to receive the Marshmallow update will be the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, which will probably receive the upgrade sometime in February 2016.  In case you haven't heard, the Samsung Galaxy Alpha and the Galaxy S5 are also on the agenda for the upgrade, and it is probably going to be after February of next year.  There are rumors that the Galaxy S4 and Note 3 could be getting the upgrade, but devices over two years old rarely receive it. 

The release dates for Samsung products are pretty well-known, as there was a report dating back to November 16 for the Korean company's rollout plans.  Know Your Mobile states that this information came from Times News UK with some "exclusive information" in the form of an easy-to-read chart, detailing when the rollouts will happen for each device. 

Even before November, SamMobile had heard from inside tipsters in mid-October about certain devices, and their list was pretty extensive, which detailed not only every Samsung device but what carrier as well. 

It is pretty clear that when Marshmallow does rollout for the OTA update, it will be made known by users of that device.  This may vary depending on the carrier, which would be Verizon, Sprint, US Cellular, T-Mobile and AT&T in the United States.
