Android 6.0 Marshmallow Release Date Update For Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge+, Note 5, Note 4, Note Edge, and S5 on Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, AT&T, and Sprint

More telecom companies announced that they are releasing Android Marshmallow (Android M) update to selected Samsung Devices. Mobile carriers like Sprint, AT&T, Verizon, US Cellular and T-Mobile are set to roll out Marshmallow firmware on Galaxy S6 and S6+.   Now, here's the latest update about Android Marshmallow release date on Samsung devices.

It is expected that the first Samsung smartphone to get the Android M is the Galaxy S6 as well as the Galaxy S6 Edge -- devices that was unveiled at the recent Mobile World Congress 2016. Neurogadget reported T-Mobile and Sprint started rolling out the upgrade to their subscribers. For S6 owners under Verizon, AT&T and US Cellular, expect to receive the update very soon.

After the Galaxy S6 Edge, the Galaxy Note 5 will get the Marshmallow update. Gotte be Mobile reported Verizon will release the upgrade to its subscribers, and then T-Mobile and AT&T will do the same in the next couple of weeks.

Furthermore, Verizon announced that it would roll out the Marshmallow update to Samsung Galaxy S5, together, with the Galaxy Note 4, Note Edge, and Tab S2 devices. However, the release date is not yet revealed. Several tech websites predict it will be available sometime in April.

Marshmallow update for Samsung Galaxy S5 under carriers Sprint, US Cellular and AT&T also do not have a firm release date.

Usually, mobile networks update their subscribers via Over-the-Air (OTA) notification. Users can immediately download the firmware right after the notification. It is also advisable that readers should check their devices if the Android M update is already available for them. Just go to Settings > About phone > System updates > Check for update.

The Android Marshmallow from Google features revamped design, smooth navigation and innovative applications. One of the most distinguishable improvements in the Android M is the Google Now on Tap. The application is present in every area of the operating system. It gives more information to the users in a better way compare to a traditional digital assistant.

Interestingly, Google is developing an operating system named "Android N." Tech Radar said the firmware will have multitasking support, where users can open two applications on their smarthpones or tablet.
