Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update Release Date for LG G4, G3, G2: Expect the Latest OS In January Or February Of 2016, Trusted Sources Say

Google rolled out Android 6.0 Marshmallow (Android M) update on their Nexus devices last year.  Now, other phone manufacturers are also slowly upgrading their devices to the latest operating system. Here's what we so far about Marshmallow update on LG G4, G3, G2 devices.

It is believed that the LG G4 users in the United States are on track to receive the Android M upgrade by January or February of 2016, according to a published article from Pocket-Lint. Numerous tech websites have cited that article, claiming that the rumored release date is correct.

LG G4 owners in Europe (Hungary, Croatia, Germany, Romania, Austria, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Hungary, Croatia and Turkey)  received the update November last year.

For LG G3 users in Poland, PhoneArena reported that Android Marshmallow has arrived on their devices. Tech experts said given that the update has rolled out in the country; it would not take long before other countries receive the update.

Take note that Marshmallow update is somewhat dependent on the carrier, which in the United States is Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, AT&T, and US Cellular.  Also, T-Mobile lists the LG G3, LG G4 and LG G Stylo among those devices set to receive Android Marshmallow in the first set of updates.

LG phone users can check their devices to know if they are part of the Android rollout using LG Bridge, the company's PC sync software.

Meanwhile, other gadgets lovers are interested in the upcoming release of LG G5. Venture Capital Post reported that the device could be launched during the Mobile World Congress, which will take place from February 22 - February 25, 2016.

The fifth generation of LG G series is also believed to go head-to-head against Samsung's Galaxy G7.

The all-new flagship device of LG is set to have a 5.6-inch QHD display and a metallic body rather than the optional leather-based one. The device will also have security biometrics and eye-scanning technology for tougher security system.

The upcoming flagship device of LG is rumored to have the Android 6 system right out of the box.

As for the specs and features of Marshmallow OS, most users enjoy its Now on Tap, because it is handy and gives a lot of information.  The latest software has also improved search and voice commands.
