Android 7.0 Nougat Release Date Update: LG G5, LG G4, LG G Stylo, LG V10 and LG V20

Android Nougat
Latest on Android Nougat roll out. It gets rather tricky figuring out just which particular smartphone model will be on the receiving end of the latest Android operating system version.

If there is one major advantage of owning a smartphone from the folks over at Google, it would be this -- they happen to receive the latest operating system updates way before the other Android-powered smartphones in the market do. There is a very simple reason for that -- you look after your own house first, and let your neighbor deal with his or her own place. Likewise, with Google’s Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones long flaunting the Android 7.0 Nougat update alongside the likes of the brand new Google Assistant, apart from the older generation of Nexus devices that also qualified for the Android 7.0 Nougat update, what about those of us who are using LG smartphones? Here are the latest news on the LG G5, LG G4, LG G Stylo, and LG V10 concerning the Android 7.0 Nougat update. We all know that the LG V20 did come with Android 7.0 Nougat right out of the box, so we will reserve a newer update to Nougat for the LG V20 later.

With LG’s main rival, Samsung, having already introduced the beta version of Android 7.0 Nougat for their smartphones, it is about time that LG stepped on the gas to speed up their Nougat release. Recent whispers going around point to the very real release of the Android 7.0 Nougat update before the year is over. It would be fitting for a flagship of the LG G 5’s stature to pick up the Android 7.0 Nougat update some time later this month, while those who are rocking to the two year old LG G3 and LG G4 devices would do well to be patient.

As for the LG G Stylo, that smartphone model too, would have to wait it out for an Android 7.0 Nougat update. It remains to be seen whether when the update arrives, it will be at the same time as that of the LG G4 and LG G3, or will it be even later down the road. Only time will be able to tell, so sit tight and wait patiently for the moment.

So far, the Android 7.0 Nougat update from Google has been talked about by many different quarters, and for good reason. There has been a fair number of changes made including improvements and bug fixes that will soon arrive, and it would then carry the Android 7.1 Nougat moniker -- and this is certainly an update that LG V20 smartphone owners would look forward to. The Android 7.1 Nougat update is slated to introduce a bunch of new features for Google fans, especially app developers who would want to maximize the use of the latest mobile operating system version.

Should LG decide to wait a little while longer before rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update to their relatively newer bunch of handsets, then this might be due to the amount of tweaking performed behind the scenes. Might we be looking at LG handsets that will support Google's Daydream virtual reality platform by then?
