Android 5.0 Lollipop Update for Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Note Edge, S5, S6 (AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, U.S. Cellular)

Samsung's flagship lineup including the Galaxy S5, S6, Note Edge, and Note Edge will be getting the Android 5.0 Lollipop very soon. All attention in the U.S. is focused on the major carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, and U.S. Cellular. Currently, there are two significant Lollipop updates rolling out - the Android 5.0 and the Android 5.1 Lollipop. So, which wireless provider has released the highly anticipated OS update?

Samsung Galaxy S5

The Android 5.0 Lollipop rollout has been consistent across the board for the Samsung Galaxy S5. T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, and U.S. Cellular have updated their Galaxy S5s to Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Some observers have speculated about a possible Android 5.1 Lollipop update. Even so, there is no evidence that Samsung is working on an Android 5.1 Lollipop for the Galaxy S5. Keep in mind that the Galaxy S5 Android 5.0 Lollipop was only just recently released.

Samsung Galaxy S6

Galaxy S6 owners will already notice that Android 5.0 Lollipop comes installed with their devices. All four carriers mentioned in this article carry the Galaxy S6.

Even so, Samsung is working on implementing the newer Android 5.1 Lollipop to the Galaxy S6 series, according to the latest report by SamMobile. The information comes from an alleged insider.

Naturally, Samsung has yet to confirm an actual rollout schedule for the Galaxy S6 Android 5.1 Lollipop update. For now, Galaxy S6 owners nationwide will need to wait patiently for more word from the South Korean-based device manufacturer.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4

At this time, T-Mobile is the only major carrier to have not rolled out Android 5.0 Lollipop on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. The service provider is still testing the Android Lollipop on the Galaxy Note 4.

That means Sprint, AT&T, Verizon, and U.S. Cellular subscribers should have already gotten their Galaxy Note 4 Lollipop updates.

Samsung Galaxy Note Edge

Strangely, U.S. Cellular is the only service provider to have rolled out Android 5.0 Lollipop for the Galaxy Note Edge. AT&T has already announced that their Galaxy Note Edge is getting the Lollipop update, but has yet to confirm an exact launch date.

T-Mobile is testing the Android 5.0 Lollipop on the Galaxy Note Edge along with the Note 4. Once trials are complete, the carrier will release the Lollipop update for both devices.  Sprint and Verizon have not released any information regarding a possible Galaxy Note Edge Lollipop update.
