When it comes to the issue of the latest version of Android, most of the newer phones have the upgrade to Android M (otherwise known as Marshmallow and version 6.0), or will be getting it soon.  LG is pretty good at getting it out to its users, and this is latest word about Android M Version 6.0 Marshmallow and Android N Release Dates for LG G5, G4, G3, G2, G Stylo, and V10 on Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, US Cellular, and AT&T. 

At this point, there is hardly any point talking about the release of Android M to LG as it has pretty much here already.  The LG G5 was announced at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016 last February, and it was going to come out with Android M right out of the box. 

So, that is this year's flagship phone taken care of, and as far as the flagship from last year, the LG G4 is also equally taken care of.  All of the five major carriers of the United States, including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and Sprint, and there are no longer and issues as there was before. 

So, as the flagships for the past two years, including this one, are taken care of, that might be more than enough.  However, the LG G3 is also essentially taken care of its Marshmallow upgrade as far as last April, at least for T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon.  This applies to the LG V10 as well. 

What about the LG G Flex 2?  Well, there is word that it will be coming, but Tech Radar says there is "no official word", but the LG G4c has it.  It would also appear that the LG G4 Stylo is getting the upgrade, as well as the LG G Pad X8.3. 

So, if you have a newer LG Android device, it would be worth your while to check the "Settings" menu along with the "System Update" to see if the upgrade is available.  It looks like things are progressing very well for LG, and it shouldn't take long before all of the newer devices have Android M on all carriers, assuming that it isn't already. 

As for Android N, that is going to take longer, as Pocket-Lint reports that LG G5 users will see an Android N update within a couple of months of the final build release, possibly before the end of 2016.  It is not known if Android N will come to the older phones like the LG G4 and probably not the LG G3, but that remains to be seen.  It could be before the year is out, but it depends on how well the company will work to have it out.
