Sony might not be the best-selling Android device in the United States, but it still has a following here.  The issue is that Android version 6.0 (also known as Android M or Marshmallow) is coming to a lot of the latest Android devices, but Sony is seeing some minimal action here.  This is the latest news of Android M Version 6.0 Marshmallow and Android N Release Date for Sony Xperia Z5, Z4, Z3, and Z2 on Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and Verizon. 

There isn't much news of an update for Sony this week, and I will start with the current flagship series of the Xperia Z5, Z5 Compact, and Z5 Premium.  There are reports that Sony updated that entire Xperia Z5 series as of the beginning of January, but what is strange is how there is very little information on the Internet about confirmation of this upgrade. 

Tech Times reported back at the end of March that those who were receiving the upgrade were having problems, and this probably includes the Japanese, International, and Canadian editions.  There hasn't been recent news of that, so one can assume that the issue is taken care of.

March was also apparently the time where the Xperia Z3+, the Z4 Tablet, and more was upgraded.  Most of the news of Marshmallow on some of the older versions of Sony Xperia products seem to always talk about beta.  A recent article from Know Your Mobile states that 10,000 Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact owners can upgrade to Marshmallow by getting involved in the firm's test program. 

This is some news from Sony Mobile as they have "commenced the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow rollout on the Xperia Z2 and Z3 series. The update is currently live for the Xperia Z2 (D6503 only), Xperia Z3 (D6603 ony) and Xperia Z3 Compact (D5803 only). The new firmware has build number 23.5.A.0.570, which incidentally is the same as the recent beta release". 

Other devices that are slated to receive the upgrade include these particular Sony products:

• Xperia M5
• Xperia C5 Ultra
• Xperia M4 Aqua
• Xperia C4

As for April 11, Sony will continue the Xperia Marshmallow preview into the summer.  Yes, that isn't really good, considering that most of the recent Android devices from HTC, Samsung, Motorola, and LG already have this upgrade.  Sony seems to be very slow about getting Android Marshmallow onto their latest flagship phones, it will more than likely take even longer to get the just-announced Android N onto Sony products. 

Therefore, the best and only advice one can give a Sony user of a newer device in the United States is to see if you can't get the OTA (Over The Air) download now.  Just go into the "Settings" and "System Update" to see if the upgrade is available.  The upgrade may not be available depending on your carrier like T-Mobile, Sprint, US Cellular, AT&T, and Verizon.  Again, feel free to leave a comment here saying whether or not you received your Marshmallow on your Sony device, as well as what carrier that you subscribe to.
