Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update Release Date For Samsung Galaxy Note 5, S6, S6 +, S6 Edge, S6, Note 4, Note Edge on Verizon, Sprint, US Cellular, T-Mobile, and AT&T

Since Google announced the rollout out of their operating system Android M (also known as version 6.0 or Marshmallow), the first to get it was their own Nexus devices.  This left a lot of Android users of Samsung products wondering when they would receive their Marshmallow upgrade.  Fortunately, Samsung is one of the biggest Android device distributors and wants to get the latest upgrade to their customers, and a recently leaked list might reveal that it will arrive sooner.  Here's what is known about the Android M Version 6.0 Marshmallow Release Date for Samsung Galaxy Note 5, S6, S6 +, S6 Edge, S6, Note 4, Note Edge on U.S. Carriers like Verizon, Sprint, US Cellular, T-Mobile, and AT&T. 

According to Phone Arena, there has been a leak of a "roadmap" for updates on the Samsung line for Android 6.0.  This has some pretty good news for users of the Note 5 as it is planned on getting its release in December with the Galaxy S6 + receiving its update sometime in January, along with the S6 and S6 Edge. 

It looks like the Note 4 and Note Edge are due for their upgrade in February.  As for the Galaxy S5, which was last year's flagship model, it will probably not receive its Marshmallow update until April.  The Galaxy A8, which is on the queue, should receive its update sometime in March.

It should be noted that it doesn't look like the Note 4, or the Galaxy S4 series made the cut, which means that it probably won't be getting any Marshmallow upgrade, ever.  The best it could probably expect is a leap to Android 5.1.1.  Some of the older phones of this series, like the Note 3 and Galaxy S3, might not even get that far up. 

Tech Times has reported about the possibility of a third phase of the update after the second phase is pushed through, and this would include devices like the Note 4 Duos, the Galaxy S6 Duos, and the Galaxy Tab A.  

According to Know Your Mobile, the leaked information discussed with Phone Arena is based on information leaked, but the database format has a similar layout to previous leaks, and the information has changed. 

It should be known that there is no specific release date on when the Marshmallow upgrade will occur for these specific Android devices, just a month.  All that means for a user of a certain device is that it should arrive by the end of the month, meaning Note 5 users will have their upgrade to Android 6.0 before New Year's Day.  Also, there is a stipulation of the carrier.  In the United States, some of the major carriers like Verizon, Sprint, US Cellular, T-Mobile, and AT&T can often get the upgrade later rather than sooner, and be slower to get it to their users for an Over The Air (OTA) upgrade update.
