Android 6.0 Marshmallow Release Date Update for Samsung Galaxy S5, Note 5, S6 Edge+, and Note 4 on AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint

The latest version of Android, version 6.0 (also known as Marshmallow or Android M), is rolling out everywhere, but only a few devices, like Google's own Nexus devices, are currently receiving it. Considering that Samsung is one of the biggest companies using Android devices, it would be good for the company to ensure that their customers receive it before others like LG, Sony, HTC, or Motorola.  This is the latest news on the Android Version 6.0 Marshmallow Release Date for Samsung Galaxy S6, S5, Note 5, S6 Edge, S6 Edge +, and Note 4 for carriers like AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and Sprint. 

One of the biggest issues with Samsung is that they take the Android code and tinker with it, which adds features for their consumers but ends up delaying the final product.  A recent report from Gotta Be Mobile states that Samsung started a Marshmallow beta test the company's native country of Korea as well as a few other regions, which allowed users in those locations to receive the Android upgrade early.  SamMobile says that this update brings them up to Android 6.0.1 and has a lot of new changes and features.

This is essentially a test for these users to see what is wrong with Android 6.0 on the Galaxy S6.  Other devices to receive the update include the Galaxy S5, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy A7, Galaxy A8, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 Edge+, and Galaxy Tab S2.

The latest news is that the Galaxy S6 Android Marshmallow beta test is planned to end on January 18th, which means that the rollout could be beginning that week or shortly after that, like sometime in Q1 as predicted it would be. 

Considering that the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge + are the latest devices from the company, it stands to reason that they will be receiving the Android upgrade first.  Of course, the S6 is the company flagship and poster boy, so it would just make sense to give it to that model first. 

Most theorize that the release date for Android Marshmallow on the latest Samsung Galaxy products will be late January or early February, but this is a just estimation, and the upgrade could come sooner or later.  When the upgrade does arrive, it could be hindered by the carrier such as AT&T, Sprint, US Cellular, Verizon, or T-Mobile, as release dates for these American subscription services have varied on several occasions of Android upgrades.
