Android Version 6.0, the new upgrade to Google's operating system, also known as Android M or Marshmallow, will be four months old next month.  Samsung, one of Android's biggest supporters, still does not have it for their devices.  Fortunately, there is a new leak which might contain some more information about the Android M Version 6.0 Marshmallow Release Date for Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge +, Note 5, Note 4, Note Edge, and S5 on U.S. Carriers like Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, AT&T, and Sprint. 

According to BGR, a new leak offers the release date details for the Marshmallow update, covering the 2014 and 2015 models of Samsung's flagship phones.  Apparently, the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, and S6 Edge + will be receiving their upgrade in February or March, with the phablet version set to receive it first.  The Galaxy Note 5 is also slated for a February release, but the Galaxy S5 is probably not going to receive its update until March or April, along with the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge.  What is also known is that Samsung is already testing Android builds, but it is not ready to roll them out.  There is even a report on Sam Mobile of a Galaxy S5 build being sent to one user. 

It should be noted that the leaks above come from XTech Leaks, and that some of the set "deadlines" of when Android M will be arriving on Samsung devices have been moved up a month.  Last year, previous reports of Marshmallow coming to Samsung have stated that it would be arriving shortly after the arrival of the new year. 

In other words, it looks like the Marshmallow release date is delayed for Samsung.  Another factor that can lead to a delay of Samsung phones receiving their upgrade is the carrier, which in the United States is AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, and US Cellular.  Android upgrades are famous for being released earlier on some carriers in comparison to others, but as of now, the Samsung series doesn't seem to have any of its devices on any carriers with Marshmallow. 

All that will change in late February, as Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016, a huge event that takes place in Barcelona, Spain annually will be the place where Samsung will unveil the Samsung Galaxy S7, their new flagship phone, which should have Android M right out of the box.  Hopefully, all of the other Samsung devices will have caught up with it by then, but at this rate of delays, probably not.
