Android M 6.0 Marshmallow Release Date for Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge +, Note 5, Note 4, and S5 on AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and Sprint

This week, there is going to be some big unveilings from Google at their development conference of Google I/O 2016.  Chances are, one of the announcements will be the latest version of the Android operating system with Google N, but a lot of newer Android devices still do not have Android M (also known as Android Version 6.0 or Marshmallow).  This is the latest news about Android M Version 6.0 Marshmallow Release Date for Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge +, Note 5, Note 4, and S5 on AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and Sprint. 

The fact is, Samsung is trying to do a decent job of rolling out Android 6.0 to its users.  The latest flagship, the Galaxy S7, has Android 6.0 right out of the packaging, which makes it "taken care of. 

Users of more recent Samsung devices are encouraged to check your "Settings" and "System Updates" to see if Marshmallow is ready to download.  This upgrade might not be ready depending on your U.S. carrier, as it has been shown that certain carriers receive the Android upgrade before others, with no real pattern. 

Last week, we mentioned that the Galaxy S6 series which includes the S6, the S6 Edge, and the S6 Plus have received its Android M upgrade provided if you are with Verizon as well as T-Mobile, not to mention US Cellular.  A recent article on Phone Arena states that this upgrade has finally come to AT&T, which is very good news for any S6 user. 

It also looks like there hasn't been much news when it comes to the Galaxy Note 5, the flagship phablet that was unveiled last year.  It has come to Sprint and Verizon, with a few technical problems with the 1 GB download.  The download is also coming to T-Mobile, but so far, there is no designated release date. 

As for the Galaxy Note 4, there is a report from Nashville Chatter Class saying that the upgrade is coming on May 25, and this looks to be the same date that the Galaxy Note Edge is slated to receive the upgrade as well. 

So what about the flagship from two years ago with the Galaxy S5?  According to Android Authority, Sprint is the only carrier that seems to have the Marshmallow upgrade.  There has been a lot of news that Marshmallow has arrived on the Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A model, at least in Korea, according to GSM Arena. 

It doesn't look good for users of the flagships of the Galaxy S4, S3, and lower.  However, it is possible that the Galaxy A7, Galaxy A8, Galaxy J3, Galaxy Alpha, and Galaxy Tab S2 will receive it, and the Galaxy Tab S2 just began to roll out.
