Samsung is one of the biggest cheerleaders for Android consumers, so it really makes sense that their devices would be among the first to receive the new version of Android with 6.0 (also known as Android M or Marshmallow).  There are other devices from other companies that are getting it, such as HTC, LG, and Sony, but here is the latest on Android M Version 6.0 Marshmallow Release Date for Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge +, Note 5, Note 4, and S5 on Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and Sprint. 

The word is so far, so good, for the Samsung S7.  The phone has been selling quite well since its initial release date, and it helps to have the latest version of Android on board, right out of the packaging.  The obvious next in line would be the Galaxy S6, and it has come to Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint as of this month.  The most recent report from Android Authority states that it has come to Canada's Telus on April 18, after numerous delays, which does not appear to be the case with the S6 Edge, but it does have Marshmallow on Verizon and T-Mobile.  Oh, and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus on Verizon and T-Mobile has Marshmallow. 

As far as phablets are concerned, the Galaxy Note 5 does have Marshmallow, and it arrived on Verizon last month, and this goes for Sprint as well.  This month, and just recently, T-Mobile began rolling out Marshmallow to Galaxy Note 5 consumers as well.  So what about the Note 4?  Well, there is a report from Sprint saying that it received its Marshmallow upgrade, but not on any of the other carriers as yet.  As far as the Note Edge is concerned, it should have its Marshmallow upgrade, and it could be happening in April. 

So what is the news on the flagship from two years ago with the Galaxy S5?  Well, it has Marshmallow, at least if you are a Sprint customer.  The fact that it has rolled out on Sprint means that it will more than likely come to all carriers of the S5, which is good news for its users. 

In fact, if you have any Samsung devices, you should be getting your Marshmallow update soon, so check your "Settings" as well as "System Update" to see if it is available as of now.  If it is, then you are fortunate, but the delay might have something to do with the carrier.  With most of the newer Samsung flagship phones have received the upgrade, but only on certain carriers, as some receive it earlier than others, but there never has been a real fixed pattern.  

According to Tech Radar, there is still no word from Samsung whether the Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and the Galaxy Note 3 will get the update.  It is believed that the Galaxy Tab S2, the Galaxy Tab S, and the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 will get the Marshmallow software, but there is no official word yet.
