The latest version of Android, Version 6.0, also known as Android M or simply Marshmallow, has been officially rolled out for almost four months.  The issue is when it will be coming to certain Android devices, such as the ones from Motorola.  So far, the company is doing a decent job of getting it to their customers in comparison to Samsung or HTC, and this is the current news about the Android M Version 6.0 Marshmallow Release Date Motorola Moto X Series, G Series, E Series, Maxx  Series, Droid Turbo and Moto Turbo Series for United States subscribers on Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and US Cellular.

According to the Lawyer Herald, the Motorola devices that are next in line for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update include the Droid Maxx 2, Droid Turbo 2, Droid Turbo, Moto Turbo (2014), and the Moto Maxx (2014).  This report comes after David Schuster's announcement on Google+ the other day about the soak test release to the Moto G (2nd Gen) in India and Brazil.  David Schuster is the senior director for product management and stated that units in the United States will follow as soon as the soak test is proven successful.

Even though companies like LG are doing pretty good at keeping their phones the latest upgrade, Motorola is doing pretty good as well.  Tech Radar reports that the Moto X Pure Edition can receive Android 6.0 on Verizon, Sprint, as well as US Cellular. If you are a user of this phone and don't have it as yet, just check the Settings for the over the air (OTA) update. 

Other Motorola devices that have been reported to receive the upgrade to Android M include the Moto X Style, Moto X Force, and Moto X 2014.  This is in various places around the world that include the UK and the United States has Marshmallow for the Moto X 2014, with some carriers.

There are also reports that the Moto G 2016 is receiving the Marshmallow upgrade, but only in certain parts of the world.  The Moto X Play is also slated to get it, as well the 4G version of the Moto E (2nd Generation).  It was a disappointment for Moto E users, who were promised the latest version of Android for the next two years, to only have it be given out in Europe, Latin America, Canada, and Asia. 

It should be noted that different carriers in the United States like US Cellular, Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T can often receive an Android upgrade at different rates.  Note that for the Moto X Pure Edition, some carriers got it early, and others like AT&T and T-Mobile still haven't as yet.
