Android M 6.0 Marshmallow Release Date for Sony Xperia Z5, Z4, Z3 and Z2 on Sprint, T-Mobile, AT&T, US Cellular, and Verizon

Many phone manufacturers started to release Android 6.0 Marshmallow (Android M) on their devices, that's why Sony subscribers are now asking when is the release date of Android M on Sony Xperia Z5, Z4, Z3 and Z2. Now, here's the latest round up of update about Android Marshmallow roll out on Sony Xperia devices.

Sony announced via Twitter that the users of Xperia Z5 series, Xperia Z4 Tablet and Xperia Z3+ devices will receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow update shortly. After the announcement, some Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact device owners reportedly receive notifications that their handset is ready for update. For Sony Xperia Z5 Premium owners, expect to get the update in the next couple of weeks.

Users of any Z5 devices, Z4, and Z3+ are advised to check their devices to know if its already available for upgrade. In order to do it, just head to "Settings" menu and "System Update".

For other Xperia devices that are scheduled to receive Android M, Android Pit published those gadgets are Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia M5, Xperia C5 Ultra, Xperia M4 Aqua, and Xperia C4.

Meanwhile, Xperia Blog said Sony started the rollout of Android 6.0.1 to selected Xperia gadgets. The beta program is available to Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact and Xperia Z2. Take note that this Marshmallow Beta is a different strand of software to the Marshmallow Concept. As of now, the beta program is being conducting at these participating countries:  Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Germany, Ireland and United Kingdom.

Tech experts say the beta program is important to know the compatibility of Android Marshmallow to Xperia devices.

Android Marshmallow is the latest operating software from Google. One of its interesting features is the Google Now on Tap, which is the most useful innovations from the firmware.

Google Now on Tap allows users to access many information without leaving the app they currently using. Users just have to press the Home button for a few seconds and follow a few simple instructions to activate the feature.

Aside from Now on Tap, Android M introduces battery-friendly Doze, runtime app permissions , camera app enhancement and revamped Xperia Launcher.
