Android M 6.0 Marshmallow Update Release Date for LG G4, G3, G4 Stylo, G Flex 2, V10 on AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular, and T-Mobile

Google releases new updates for their Android firmware every year, but some devices still haven't got Android version 6.0 (also known as Android M or simply Marshmallow). The latest software was first rolled out to Nexus devices last October.  Now, here's the latest update about Android M release on LG phones.

Last year, the new software was released to LG Nexus 5 2013 phones and Sprint LG G4 in countries like Poland, India, South Korea and in the United States. For LG G4 users, who are connected to Verizon and T-Mobile, expect the update by the end of January or early February, according to Morning News USA.

LG Inc. has also confirmed that the new software will land on LG G Stylo, LG G4, LG G3, LG G Flex2, and LG V10, a report from International Business Times published.

For LG G3 owners, they might have to wait longer as there's still no official announcement from the company.

Tech experts say LG is ahead of the curve when it comes to Android update. Other subscribers who are using LG G4 can expect to receive the upgrade probably within the month. To know if a device is included in the roll out, users can check their Settings to see if the Over-the-air (OTA) update is now available. LG G3 owners are also encouraged to check their Setting menu as well.

The other non-Nexus devices to receive Android M update this year are Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy Note 4, HTC One M9 Plus, HTC One M9, HTC One E9, HTC One E8 and HTC One M8 Eye.

Gadget lovers can check this site to know if their handset is included in the update.  

The Android M update takes users from the frustrating and bug-filled Android Lollipop to Google's new Android 6.0 Marshmallow software. This new firmware features updated security enhancements, improved user interface and bug fixes.  One user confessed that it only takes 20 minutes to download the new software. It is recommended that users have to update their devices via WiFi because the update is 1GB in size.

Furthermore, Android Marshmallow offers improved battery life with Android Doze, Google Now on Tap (long press home button). Not only that, enjoy better security and revamped volume controls with a new do-not-disturb mode.
