With Android Version 6.0 (also known as Android M or Marshmallow having been out for several months now, one would think that most of the newer Android devices would have their upgrade by now.  This is true for a lot of flagships like those from HTC, LG, and Motorola, and it is certainly true for at least some of Samsung's Android devices, depending on your carrier.  This is the latest news for Android M Version 6.0 Marshmallow Release Date for Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge +, Note 5, Note 4, and S5 on Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, US Cellular, and Sprint. 

Samsung's Galaxy S7, which has sold 10 million since it was first released came with Android M right out of the box, but what about its predecessor, the Galaxy S6?  As of last month, Sprint got it, and then this month, Verizon and T-Mobile received it as well, according to Android Authority. 

As for the S6 Edge, it has also arrived this month, at least for Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile.  The S6 Edge Plus seems to only have Marshmallow if you are a Verizon customer, but that could change quickly.

So what about the Note 5?  Things are looking very positive there as Verizon and Sprint are reported to have it already.  As for AT&T, there have been reports that Galaxy Note 5 beta testers have received Marshmallow. 

The Note 4 is also planning on getting an upgrade, and it has been reported that Sprint already has it out.  Other carriers are obviously likely to follow, and this applies to the Note Edge.   

The Samsung Galaxy S5 has also just received Android 6.0 for Sprint customers, and this applies to the S5 Sport variants as well, according to Ecumenical News.  It is surprising that Verizon didn't get this update first, but Gotta Be Mobile reports that T-Mobile has a testing phase with a release date that is getting pretty close. 

There is an alleged "roadmap" that claims that the Note 4 and Note Edge will be available in April, the Galaxy S5 out in May, and the Galaxy Alpha out in June. 

The bottom line is if you have any Samsung devices, you should be getting your Marshmallow update soon, so check your "Settings" as well as "System Update" to see if it is available as of now.  If it is, then you are fortunate, but the delay might have something to do with the carrier.  As mentioned earlier, some of the newer Samsung flagship phones have received the upgrade, but only on certain carriers, as some receive it earlier than others, with no pattern.
