Android M 6.0 Marshmallow Update Release Date For Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge+, Note 5, Note 4, Note Edge, and S5 on T-Mobile, US Cellular, Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint

Considering that Mobile World Congress 2016 is wrapping up in Barcelona, Spain, the excitement of seeing the Samsung Galaxy S7 has not faded.  The phone will be surely launching with Android Version 6.0 (also known as Android M or Marshmallow) right out of the box.  However, there are a lot of newer Android devices that don't have their Marshmallow upgrade, and this is the current news about Android M Version 6.0 Marshmallow Release Date for Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge+, Note 5, Note 4, Note Edge, and S5 on T-Mobile, US Cellular, Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint. 

There really hasn't been much in the way of news this week on the Android M upgrade.  There has been a lot of chatter about Samsung and last year's flagship phones with the Samsung S6 and S6 Edge.  Tech Radar reported about a week ago that these devices are getting the upgrade to Android Marshmallow now, but it could arrive later depending on your carrier, such as Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, US Cellular, and T-Mobile.  If you have one of these devices, then you should go to your "Settings" menu and see if it is available for an Over The Air (OTA) download. 

In fact, there are reports worldwide from places like the UK and the Netherlands saying that Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are receiving the Android upgrade worldwide.  This is confirmed at both the Lawyer Herald and at Gotta Be Mobile, with some reports saying version 6.0.1 has arrived to last year's flagship models. 

As for other older models of Samsung devices, such as the Galaxy S5, Note 4, and the Note Edge, that is definitely coming later.  It will probably be coming in between March and April, and this information comes from a leak.  One would think the some of the other recently released Android devices, such as the Galaxy S6 Edge + and the Note 5 would get it about at the same time.  One estimation has been late February or early March, at least for those models. 

There was a report from SamsungViet that updates for devices like the Galaxy Note 4, Note 4 Duos, Note Edge, Note 5, S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge +, S6 Duos, S5, S5 Neo and S5 LTE-A should be receiving the Android upgrade in Q1 2016, and this sounds like an accurate prediction as any.  Then there are also reports saying that the Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy Tab A, Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 and Tab S2 8.0 should be receiving their Android M update in Q2.  It doesn't look like older devices such as the Galaxy S4 and the Note 3 will be receiving the Android upgrade.
