Every year, the rollout of the new version of Android follows the same tradition.  An early release happens in the fall to the Google Nexus series, followed by a slow rollout afterwards to other Android phones.  One of the biggest supporters of Android is Samsung, but they have been kind of slow on the Android release of version 6.0 (also known as Android M or Marshmallow).  Now that their new flagship phone, the Samsung S7, is out with Android 6 right out of the box, the pressure is on to get their other devices up to date.  Here is the latest news on Android M Version 6.0 Marshmallow Release Date for Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge+, Note 5, Note 4, Note Edge, and S5 on Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, AT&T, and Sprint. 

According to Gotta Be Mobile, Samsung has confirmed the first of the updates of Marshmallow, and it isn't surprising that they will begin with the Galaxy S6, the company's flagship phone from last year.  Specifically, it is for the trio of smartphones with the Galaxy S6, the Galaxy S6 Edge, and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus in Korea.  So far, updates have landed for these phones in the United Kingdom and other parts of Europe and Asia.  It has recently landed in North America with Sprint users with Android 6.0.1, and it should go all parts of the world. 

With Sprint out of the way, it shouldn't take long before the Android upgrade becomes available on other U.S. carriers like Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and US Cellular.  A tradition for Android rollouts is that some carriers get the upgrade first. 

Another newer Android device to receive the upgrade soon is the Samsung Galaxy Note 5.  In fact, Verizon customers are getting their Marshmallow upgrade, and it is confirmed by T-Mobile.  AT&T's version underwent a beta, so naturally, the upgrade should be available to all Note 5 users of varying carriers.

As for those who have the Note 4 and the Note Edge, Marshmallow is coming to you.  T-Mobile has also confirmed updates on these two devices, and it will probably arrive sometime in March or April, but probably later rather than sooner. 

For those that have the Galaxy S5, the flagship phone from two years ago, the good news is that you are also eligible for the Marshmallow upgrade.  The bad news is that you will have to wait, but T-Mobile has at least confirmed that it will be happening.  If T-Mobile is doing this, then most of the other carriers will follow suit, meaning that the upgrade rollout will reach all S5 users. 

As for other Samsung users, the Galaxy Tab S2 (the 8-inch and 9.7-inch models) will get their fair share of Marshmallow, followed by the Galaxy Alpha in June.
