Android M 6.0 Marshmallow Update Release Date For LG G5, G4, G3, G Flex 2, G4 Style, and V10 on Verizon, US Cellular, Sprint, T-Mobile, and AT&T

So it has been about a few months since the newest version of Android 6.0 (also known as Android M or Marshmallow) began rolling out.  Sure, Google loves to give the latest version of Android to their own Nexus series first, and then other Android smartphone companies like HTC, Samsung, Motorola, and even Sony are getting it.  One of the first to really attempt to get it is LG, and this is the latest news on Android M Version 6.0 Marshmallow Release Date for LG G5, G4, G3, G Flex 2, G4 Style, and V10 on Verizon, US Cellular, Sprint, T-Mobile, and AT&T. 

As expected, the flagship phone for this year, the LG G5 will be coming with the most recent version of Android, Marshmallow, right out of the box.  Yes, this comes as absolutely no surprise since the new flagship was announced at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016.  So what does this mean for the flagship model for the previous year? 

According to Neurogadget, AT&T has released the upgrade to the LG G4, and it is expected that Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and Verizon should be getting it soon.  A report from Android Authority states that the upgrade has already come to Verizon. 

So what does that mean for the next flagship phone?  Well, there is hope for users of the LG G3, as Verizon has rolled out the upgrade, and it doesn't look like any release dates for the AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and US Cellular have been announced as yet.  A separate article from Neurogadget has stated that Telus will be receiving the upgrade on March 29. 

So far, there isn't any news about the next flagship down the line with the LG G2, but there isn't any news on when that is coming.  Other LG devices that are expected to receive the upgrade include the G Flex 2, the G4 Stylo, as well as the V10.  The G Stylo has its Android 6.0 for carriers on T-Mobile, and the V10 International unlocked edition.

The issue with LG is that the company promised that they would be one of the first to receive Android M, but there were some issues when it began rolling out in Europe.  Still, the company was able to roll it out.  If you haven't figured it out yet, then you may have noticed that different carriers such as Verizon, US Cellular, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile get the Android upgrade at different times.  Therefore, if you have any LG product with any carrier, it is recommended that you check your "Settings" and your "System Update" to see it is available for the over the air (OTA) update.
