The Android Marshmallow roll out to Samsung devices has just started, but several tech enthusiasts are looking forward for the release of Android N. The upcoming operating system from Google is expected to land on the much-anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 6, as per reports from Techno Buffalo.

Here's what is currently known about Android N Release Date for Samsung Galaxy Note 6, Note 5, S6, S6 Edge+, and Note 4.

The source from Techno Buffalo says the launching of Galaxy Note 6 will happen on July 2016. The gadget could also have Android N right out of the box. That may sound like it's way too soon, but it is reported that Google is now in the last stages of developing Android N.

As for the specs of Galaxy Note 6, rumors say it could have a 5.8-inch Quad HD display with 12-megapixel camera and 64GB/128GB of internal storage

PC Advisor reported Android N will be revealed at Google I/O 2016, which is scheduled to happen on May 18-20 2016. Early adopters can experience the features of the new firmware though the Android N Developer Preview. For tech enthusiasts who want to be part of Google I/O, registration begins on March 8.

Google has not yet revealed the meaning of "N" in Android N. So far, the tech company released Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean, KitKat, Lollipop and Marshmallow. Some tech websites say the next firmware could be named Nougat or Nachos.

Interestingly, Android's official Twitter account posted a video with a description that says, "Thanks for all of the lollipops, marshmallows and Na..."

The forthcoming Android N is said to have features like Bundled notifications, Direct-reply notifications and Multi-window. The latter will give users an opportunity to work in split-screen modes on phones and tablets.

Industry experts claim if the Android N landed on Galaxy Note 6 later this year, other Samsung products like Note 5, S6, S6 Edge+, and Note 4 will receive the firmware eventually.

In the meantime, Samsung has officially released the current Android Marshmallow (Android M) to the unlocked version of Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge . Take note the update is still not available in some carrier variants. For Galaxy Note 5 users, International Business Times reported Verizon is now offering the Android M to the device.
