Apple iOS 10 Release Date, MacOS Sierra Download and iPhone 7 Launch Preview

Don't you think that it is long overdue for Apple to roll out a successor to the MacBook Pro 2016 and the MacBook Air 2016? Obviously thinner and lighter will be part of the agenda, with rumors of Touch ID and an OLED touchscreen, not to mention a Q4 release date for the MacBook Pro 2016. Apple is now gearing up to release the much awaited macOS Sierra and iOS 10 in the fall. To give users a glimpse of what to expect, the company is offering a public beta of the upcoming operating systems. Now, here's the latest about iOS 10 and MacOS Sierra release date. We'll also give updates on iPhone 7 specs, launching and rumors.

Apple device owners can now download the first public of iOS 10. This is good news for gadget lovers who want to see the upcoming firmware in action without paying $99 a year for a developer account. However, remember that the firmware is still in development stage, so expect some bugs and instabilities.

Users shouldn't install the iOS 10 beta on their primary phone or iPad. Some features of the operating system won't work, and other bugs might cause problems in devices. Also, it is important to have a backup data in case unnecessary problems occur.

Interested Apple subscribers should visit this link to download the iOS 10 beta. After that, they have to install a configuration profile.

As for the features of iOS 10, expect there will be a completely redesigned lock screen with smart notifications that shows tiny live widgets. Also, the firmware will have face recognition feature, intelligent photo albums, and deep learning categorization. There will also be updates on Apple Maps, Apple Music, HomeKit and the Phone app.

For users of Apple desktop computers, they can now download the public beta of the macOS Sierra. Visit beta.apple.com to have more details on how to install the latest operating system. Engadget reported the system has support for Siri on the desktop. It can also automatically back up user's most important files to iCloud.

Interestingly, the MacOS Sierra provides universal clipboard for iOS-based devices and Apple computers. The feature allows users to copy text from iPhone and then paste it to their Mac device seamlessly.

Apple advised users to report any issues in the MacOS Sierra through the beta software's built-in Feedback Assistant app. The reports will be used to improve the system. 

The fully functional iOS 10 and MacOS Sierra will be released publicly later this year.  

Meanwhile, Apple will reportedly remove the headphone jack from the iPhone 7 and install the newer USB-C connection instead. The next iPhone will also have larger camera lens for a more powerful sensor. The complete specs and features of the device are not yet available, but it is expected to become available with pre-installed iOS 10.

A report from Fortune said iPhone 7 will be revealed in September 2016. It is predicted half of all current iPhone owners will upgrade to the next iPhone.
