Jailbreaking the iOS on the iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad, is removing the software restrictions Apple puts on its personal operating system.  For those that know how to do it, and it is recommended that you know what you are doing before you do it, you have root access to the iOS file system and manager, which allows additional applications, extensions, and other services not available to those who only have access to the App Store.  While some of the earlier versions of iOS 9.0 up to 9.1 have been cracked, it appears that iOS 9.2 is pretty difficult to break. However, there has been a recent report the iOS 9.3, which hasn't even come to iDevices as yet, has already been jailbroken. 

We have reported before that jailbreak versions of iOS 9.0, 9.0.1, and 9.0.2 are already available, but a few days ago we reported that iOS 9.1 and 9.2 are not yet available.  The reason iOS 9.2 is such a tough nut to crack, according to Neurogadget, is because Apple is making great efforts to discourage iOS hackers in the Jailbreaking community to make another jailbreaking release.  Making it even harder is a recent update from Apple with iOS 9.2.1, which is meant to fix bugs stemming from iOS 9.2. 

It doesn't look like the popular jailbreaking players of Pangu or TaiG have succeeded in releasing the jailbreak, resulting in another delay for iOS 9.2.  Most are saying that the jailbreak for iOS 9.2 should really be out any day now, and should already exist.  For those that have iOS 9.2.1, there might not be a jailbreaking for that, and you might need to wait until iOS 9.3. 

As for a jailbreaking for iOS 9.3, that is pretty new.  Apple just confirmed the update earlier this month for the iPhone, iPad, and the iPod Touch.  The issue with jailbreaking 9.3 is that it is a big update, much larger than the current iOS 9.2.1 update, according to GottaBeMobile.

However, there are reports that are over a week old from the Latin Post saying that Italian hacker Lucca Todesco was able to prove that he was able to jailbreak iOS 9.2.1, and then could even jailbreak iOS 9.3 while it is still in beta.  It seems quite odd that Todesco was able to do this so fast, ahead of Pangu and TaiG.  Todesco has reportedly worked in collaboration with Pangu when the team was creating the jailbreak for iOS 9. 

So as far as iOS 9.2 is concerned, this should be around within a very short amount of time, perhaps within a few weeks.  That is, of course, an estimation.  If the actual jailbreak of iOS 9.3 has been done, then it might not be long before that becomes available.
