After 12-inch MacBook got its update last month, Apple is now gearing up for the launching of new MacBook Pro 2016 on June's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC).  The much-anticipated laptop from Apple is expected to boast powerful processor, Retina Display, and improved graphics. Now, here's the latest about MacBook Pro, MacBook Air release date, specs and price.

The upcoming WWDC event on June is the right platform for the Cupertino-based tech company to announce this year's MacBook Pro. By looking at Apple's release cycle, the current 13-inch and 15-inch models of MacBook Pro was unveiled in May 2015.

Additionally, rumors about MacBook Pro 2016's launching intensified after Best Buy slashed the price of current 13-inch MacBook Pro model by $300. From $1,499.99, the laptop that features 256GB of flash storage and 8GB of RAM is now priced at $1,199.99.

The annual WWDC conference of Apple happens at the Moscone West convention center in San Francisco, California. The large facility center has a big event hall that can provide enough space for the thousands of developers in attendance. During the said conference, Apple always announces a new version of the desktop software and new devices. Aside from MacBook Pro 2016, the company is also rumored to reveal the iOS 10.

As for the features of MacBook Pro 2016, it is powered by sixth-generation Skylake processors. Other laptop developers like Dell and HP have already launched Skylake-powered laptops, so it is not surprising Apple also installed the latest chipset to the forthcoming MacBook Pro. Tech experts say the latest Skylake chip from Intel will improve the performance and battery life of the laptop.

To compliment the powerful CPU, MacBook Pro has new GPU products from AMD and Nvidia that are expected to bring improvements in the graphics department.

Just like the current models, Apple will release 13-inch and 15-inch models of MacBook Pro 2016. Both models have Retina Display and slimmer chassis, as per reports from Tech Times.  It could also feature USB Type-C support and Thunderbolt 3. The latter can transfer files for up to 40 GB per second.

As for the price of the forthcoming MacBook Pro, it could cost around $1,300 or so for the base model, with price increase depending on configuration. Apple usual sells its new MacBook laptops with a price tag close to previous iterations.
