Apple's Spring Forward event is taking place this Monday and the name almost guarantees that the tech giant will discuss the upcoming Apple Watch that's set to launch in April. But Apple likes to surprise its customers, so you can bet that we'll see a bit more during the special livestream that starts at 10 a.m. PDT.

Since the anticipated wearable is launching in April, we know that an official launch date is very possible during this event, but we also anticipate a list of Day-One apps, a product demo using an iPhone, and a presentation with Apple Pay.

There's also a really good chance that we'll see a pricing structure that details the type of cost we would be looking at with the various watch bands and case materials. How much can that 18-karat gold edition pull in? Where can we buy it besides through Apple? 

In other words, there should be no more mysteries about the Apple Watch by the time the event is over. Apple is ready to get customers excited for this thing, and this will be the time to get those pre-orders fired up.

Everything Else

Apple is also expected to show off the new 13-inch Retina MacBook Air, but not the Retina MacBook Pro 2015 or the iPad Pro that's been rumored lately. The iPad Pro is expected to be mentioned or announcement, but a release date isn't expected just yet. It has also been confirmed that the Beats-based music streaming service will skip this event and be shown instead at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in early June.

Since the Apple Watch requires iOS 8.2 on coordinating devices, there's a really good chance that we'll see iOS 8.2 dropping on March 9 or 10. Plus, iOS 8.3 is expected to release in a beta state very soon, so we may also hear a bit more about that.

Apple TV may also get an update for this event, but it may also be too soon. Can we expect that elusive iPod Touch 6 to finally get a launch date or even a confirmation at this event? It's not likely, but who knows.

Luckily for those who won't be able to attend the event, Apple will be providing a livestream. In a very Apple-like move, this livestream is only available on Apple devices like the iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Mac, or anything running Apple TV. Tech requirements include Safari 5.1.10 or later on OS X v10.6.8 or later; Safari on iOS 6.0 or later; or Apple TV software 6.2 or later on a second- or third-gen Apple TV.
